💛 EMILY’S ROSES 💛
Two of our Ladies 1s players, Connie and Mel, will be running the Bristol Half Marathon on 11th May to raise money for Emily’s Roses - a charitable foundation set up in memory of Emily Browning, who tragically passed away last year. Emily was a part of Mendip for many years, playing with her Mum, Jackie, and her sister Katie on the same team (see the final pic!).
This is as part of a wider effort by many of Emily’s friends and family, who are all doing various physical challenges, to raise as much money as possible to create a learning garden in the primary school Emily worked at in her memory. Check out the Go Fund Me page to see everyone’s incredible efforts.

🎉👏 Last weekend MoM’s 👏🎉

A decent weekend for your Yellows brings about some very strong performances!

- Our L1’s clashed with Taunton CS in a big 6 point game near the bottom of the table. An end to end game and with 10 minutes to go it was 2-2, but we just couldn’t quite hold on for that point! had a stormer and topped off her performance by scoring Mendip’s 2nd goal 👏🏼

- Our M1’s have started 2025 in some form with 5 goals scored, for the second game in a row. The imperious Adam Forsyth was again at the front of everything good that was thrown Taunton Vale’s way and as always, was extremely astute in defence. 💪🏻

- Our M2’s faced off against Westbury UB’s who were languishing at the bottom of the table and the gulf in class was evident from the start. A clinical performance from the team stemmed from the MoM and skipper who was superb and led from the front. Ed is kindly sponsored by 😍

💛 Everyone at MHC has very heavy hearts as we announce the passing of one of our own - Letty Smith.

💙 Letty had been battling with illness and stepped away from her playing role last season. She'll be sorely missed - a huge part of our L2's and GK'ing setup at MHC.

🫶🏼 Every club member is thinking of Letty, her family and close friends through this difficult time!

💛 It is with MHC's deepest sadness that alumnus Emily Browning passed away earlier this week and now our entire hockey club is there for the Browning family 💛

💙 Jackie, Katie and then Emily were part of the MHC family for a combined 20+ years - a huge part of club life, you will be forever missed 💙

Mixed squad ran out 3-0 victors yesterday in their 2nd round National Cup match vs Bristol & West. 2nd half goals from J.England, M.Spalton and then a pure thunderstrike from M.Bartlett sealed the deal.
