So, after another great K1 session taken by Thomas Gladwell tonight, I took the opportunity to award Tom his well-overdue black belt.

Tom started training with me at 13 after receiving his black belt in karate. He then chose to transition to K1 kickboxing. He managed to achieve his brown belt and a few fight wins with us before moving off to attend university. After sourcing a local gym to maintain his training, he went on to become captain of the University Muay Thai team and win a couple more fights and a couple of titles. It has been great having him back to help in the gym and pass on his knowledge to the next generation of fighters coming through the gym, and a pleasure to have awarded him his belt.
