First game of the season for the Holmewood lads today.
Before we get into it just a quick recap of the preseason. After starting in what can only be described as horrific fashion the lads have really been playing out of their skins over the last 3 weeks or so.
After narrowly being beaten by a side 2 divisions higher last weekend despite being the better team for 65 minutes we faced our first test in the league Spire FC
The last started bright and dominated the whole game with some nice passing and with a few bits more of end product we could have been comfortably up by 2/3 goals into half time.
As the second half kicked off the lads lit a fire under their arses and came out with a point to prove.
After getting 1 goal through Jack Lockyer the floodgates started to open followed by 2 quick fire goals from Bradley Walker.
Man of the match today was Ryan Brown for working tirelessly in the middle of the park breaking play up and kickstarting attacks bringing his preseason form into the new league campaign.

Onto next week in the cup against Tibshelf Community Reserves away.
