The small number of available lads we’ve had continue to grind out the season with hopes still set on a 3rd place finish 💪🏻

3 left to play with all 3 being on Costa Del Eastwood ⚽️

Gives our resident golf buddies plenty of time to practice their golfing bromance!

After 5 weeks without a game the lads travelled to North Wingfield this morning looking to make it 3 wins out of 3 against a tough Shinnon FC side.

Shinnon came out fast with the lads having to dig in against the wind in the early stages of the first half. Having battled through we had 2/3 very good chances but unfortunately weren’t able to capitalise so we went in 0-0 at HT.

The lads came out in the 2nd half and got an early goal from Elliott who finished off a square ball from Macca.

Shinnon levelled almost straight away with a scuffed shot, that took a heavy deflection and gained momentum from the wind that somehow managed to land perfectly in the stanch from friend of the club Joe Kirk 👀

We battled away and got the winner in similar circumstances to the first goal. A square ball from Elliott was finished off at the back post by Joord White who’s done his usual trick of giving us a dig out with low numbers and bagging an important goal ⚽️

The lads spent the last 10 minutes under pressure but defended well and closed out the game to make it 3 wins from 3 against a very competitive Shinnon team! Great snap post match as usual and good luck for the remainder of the season 🤝

Big mention to Ash Barber for his once a season cameo pressing from the front in his 40s 😂

MOTM was L Moore (C) who spent first half breakdancing at LWB and second half face planting in the mud 👴🏼

We travel to Tibshelf next Sunday in Alma Cup action. 3rd time lucky 🤞🏼⚽️

A brilliant morning for the lads today after the long layoff and previous result, as we ran out comfortable 5-1 winners of Shinnon FC 💙

An even 20 minutes with Tops1 making a brilliant save to keep things level, was ended with Lewis Warwick sticking his massive head on a Joe Oakley free kick. Shinnon equalised quickly however the gaffers golden boy Joe decided he’d seen enough and stuck a 20 yard free kick into the top corner!

We went 3-1 up early in the 2nd half from a Tom McTighe penalty. Elliott Nunn breaking the lines and being taken down by the oncoming Shinnon goalkeeper. 3-1 became 4-1 as Joe once again put the ball on Warwicks humongous cranium from a corner.

Elliott then wrapped up things by collecting a flick on, side stepping a couple of challenges and wrapping a 25 yarder into the top corner with his left foot.

Credit to the Shinnon lads who kept going right till the end.

Encouraging 2nd half today as we won that half 2-1 but the small matter of conceding 6 in the first half means it wasn’t our day, as we lost 7-2 against Clowne Comets!

MOTM was Topham who kept the score line to single digits with a great individual performance, which included an unbelievable penalty save! 👐🏼

No excuses from us. Nowhere near good enough. Spirits high though post match in the clurrrb!

The lads have the week the sulk before we travel to Dronfield in our final league game of 2025 looking to make amends! ⚽️
