⚽️ PRE-SEASON ROUND-UP ⚽️
Two games, two wins, and plenty of positives to take into the new season as Tupton Tap FC continued their pre-season preparations in Stonebroom.
We kicked things off with a 4-1 victory over FC Spire, producing an impressive attacking performance. Maxwell H stole the show with a first-half hat-trick, finding the net in the 26th, 30th and 45th minutes. Joshua H added our fourth in the second half, getting on the scoresheet in the 71st minute.
Our second fixture saw us secure a 5-1 win against Chesterfield Club, although the scoreline doesn’t tell the full story. After a below-par first-half display that lacked the intensity and quality shown in the opening game, the lads regrouped and produced a much-improved second-half performance. Maxwell H continued his fine form with another hat-trick, scoring in the 18th, 51st and 77th minutes, while Grant B added our fourth on 64 minutes before Charlie M wrapped things up late on with a goal in the 83rd minute.
Across both matches, the squad showed great character, teamwork and some clinical finishing, with valuable minutes for everyone as preparations continue ahead of the new campaign.
