Back home from Turkeyโฆ
Freedom to structure my days around whatโs beneficial to my own well-being: walking at my own pace, listening to podcasts, reading a book, eating slowly and enjoying the joys of people-watching ๐!!!
Oh and some welcome lazy, guilt-free lie-ins ๐คโฆ
Plus, not even any studying needed this time.
Breakfast is always my favourite meal of the day and the omelette bar gave me the ideal opportunity to create my own fav Greek version with feta, spinach, roasted peppers, olives and as much saffron as I wanted (literally one of the most extortionately expensive and healthiest spices there is)!!
Saw some black bread ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ and managed to swerve the patisserie offerings but good to see they had water dispensers around the place to top up frequently.
I experienced my first ever Turkish Hamman spa too -goodness me - it was certainly memorable!! After a sauna & steam, I was led into a large marbled wet room, lay down and was launched with a bucketful of water, then scrubbed from head to toe with a mitt, followed by a foam slathering, head massage and ended with a chilled out aroma body massage. Certainly a good prep for a sun tan - I certainly felt cleansed afterwards ๐ฆ! Jeff likened it to a being put through a wash cycle in a launderette ๐!!
The coastal promenade to the old town was just a just a couple of miles away and this provided a welcome walk/jog at various times of the day/eve ๐ฃ .
I used to feel guilty taking time off from training but Iโve learnt the power of switching off completely, rather than spending hours catching up doing social media posts or reading too many self-improvement books.
Big thanks to all my clients for my time off - only you know how much I train ๐ฏ during the week and I canโt wait to see you all again refreshed and ready to go ๐
๐ช๐ป.
