⚽️🔥 THREE SHOTS. THREE GOALS.

The finishing was on point at SRFD! 🎯

No stopping these ones! 👏🏻⚽️

⚽️🔥 NOT THE ENDING WE WANTED… BUT WHAT A BLOCK OF FOOTBALL!

Unfortunately, the weather had other ideas for our final Friday night before half term! 🌧️💨

But looking back over the past few weeks, we’ve got SO MUCH to celebrate at SR Football Development!

🏆 RECORD NUMBERS!
We’ve welcomed more players to our Development Centre sessions than ever before!

⚽️ OUR NEW OLDER DEVELOPMENT GROUP!
The launch of our older age group has been a HUGE success, and the response from players and parents has been fantastic!

🧤 GOALKEEPER DEVELOPMENT!
Our goalkeeper sessions have been absolutely booming, with more young keepers getting involved and working with the goalie coaches.

And the biggest thank you goes to EVERY SINGLE PLAYER who has joined us throughout this block of sessions.

Whether you’ve been coming for years, joined us for the very first time or returned after a little break, you’ve all played a part in making this one of our most successful blocks yet! 👏🏻

A massive thank you to our parents too, for continuing to support SRFD week after week.

And of course, a big shoutout to our coaching team for everything they’ve put into these sessions!

WE’RE NOT FINISHED YET… WE’RE JUST GETTING STARTED! 🔥

📅 FRIDAY 6TH NOVEMBER — WE’RE BACK!

Two Development Centre groups. Goalkeeper Development. More football to look forward to!

LET’S COME BACK BIGGER AND BETTER THAN EVER! ⚽️🔥

⚠️⚽️ FRIDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL CANCELLED! ⚠️⚽️

Unfortunately, due to the weather warning and forecast high winds, we’ve made the decision to cancel tonight’s sessions at Christleton Sports Centre.

This includes:

⚽️ Both Development Centre groups
🧤 Goalkeeper Development session

The safety of our players, parents and coaches will always come first.

We’re disappointed to be finishing this half-term block a week early, but we’ll be back on Friday 6th November! ⚽️

Thank you for your understanding, everyone!

⚽️🔥 FROM SRFD PLAYER TO SRFD COACH — MEET COACH TOM!

Now this is a story we’re proud to share! 👏🏻

Coach Tom first came to SR Football Development when he was just 4 or 5 years old.

Fast-forward to today, and he’s now a fantastic part of our coaching team!

⚽️ Delivering football sessions in our primary schools

⚽️ Leading after-school football clubs

⚽️ Our main man for 1-2-1 player development

Alongside coaching, Tom continues his own playing career with Vauxhall Motors FC, currently on loan at Chester Nomads FC.

Having watched Tom grow from one of our youngest players into the coach he is today makes this one particularly special.

He’s become a real asset to SRFD, and we’re delighted to have him as part of the team.

FROM BEING COACHED AT SRFD TO WEARING THE COACHING KIT HIMSELF! ⚽️👏🏻

Keep up the brilliant work, Tom! 🔥

22/10/2026

⚽️🔥 ONE PLAYER. ONE COACH. EVERY MINUTE COUNTS.

There’s nowhere to hide in a 1-2-1 session!

Every touch, every movement and every decision gives our coaches something to work with.

And that’s the beauty of individual coaching — the session is built around the player in front of us, not a one-size-fits-all programme.

45 MINUTES DEDICATED TO YOUR GAME.

⚽️😂 FOOTBALL PARENTS… WE NEED YOUR ANSWERS!

What’s the funniest thing your child has ever said on the way home from football?

The full match commentary from the back seat? 🎙️

The detailed explanation of their favourite moment?

Or the big announcement that they’re going to play for Manchester United one day? 😂⚽️

Children really do come out with some absolute gems, and we’d love to hear yours!

COME ON, PARENTS… SHARE YOUR FAVOURITES IN THE COMMENTS! 👇🏻

🏆⚽️ LOOK AT OUR FRIDAY NIGHT STARS!

What a brilliant collection of award winners we’ve had across our Friday Development Centres and Goalkeeper Development sessions this half term! 👏🏻

Every award represents a player who’s caught our coaches’ attention, and we’re delighted to celebrate them!

But there’s still ONE MORE FRIDAY TO GO! 🔥

This Friday is our final session before half term, which means one last opportunity to recognise some of our fantastic young footballers.

🏆 WHO WILL BE OUR FINAL AWARD WINNERS?

⚽️ Two Development Centre groups
🧤 Goalkeeper Development
📅 Friday 23 October | 5–6pm
📍 Christleton Sports Centre

Let’s finish this block with a brilliant turnout and plenty more football!

🎓👏🏻 A PROUD MORNING FOR SR FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT!

It’s been a busy morning for us, and we’re delighted to share some fantastic news!

Today, SR Football Development has been recognised by the University of Chester for the work we do in providing work placement opportunities for students.

We were presented with a Certificate of Appreciation, recognising our contribution to supporting students and giving them valuable experience within the sports coaching industry.

For us, offering placements is about much more than simply welcoming students into the business.

It’s about giving them the opportunity to experience a professional working environment, learn alongside our coaching team and gain an understanding of what a career in sport can involve.

We’re incredibly proud to play a part in helping students take those important steps towards their future careers.

A huge thank you to the University of Chester for the recognition and for the opportunity to continue supporting the next generation entering the sports industry.

A LOVELY MOMENT FOR SRFD AND ONE WE’RE VERY PROUD OF! 👏🏻⚽️
