🔴 THIS LAD… 👏⚽️

There are some posts we absolutely LOVE getting to write.

And this is one of them.

Our very own Coach Josh has secured an apprenticeship with Liverpool FC as a Youth Worker. 🔴⚽️

And we honestly couldn’t be prouder of him.

Josh has become such an important part of our coaching team at SR. The kids love him, the coaches love having him around, and he’s one of those lads who will always get stuck in, help wherever he’s needed and bring brilliant energy to a session.

To see him now taking another huge step, learning, developing and building his career at Liverpool FC, is absolutely fantastic.

We talk a lot about creating opportunities for the young players who come through SR…

But it’s just as important to us that young coaches coming through SR get opportunities to grow too.

And Josh is doing exactly that. 👏

He’s worked for this opportunity and we know he’ll give it everything.

Keep going, Josh. This is only the beginning.

THE PE KIT IS BACK. THE SCHOOL RUN IS BACK. AND SO ARE WE. 😂⚽️

September means one thing at SR…

The vans are loaded, the footballs are out and our coaches are heading back into schools. 🔥

And this side of SR is HUGE.

Every week, our coaches get the opportunity to work with hundreds of children through schools across Chester, Cheshire & North Wales.

For some children, football is already their whole world.

For others, an SR session at school might be the first time they discover they actually enjoy it.

And we love both.

It’s not about finding the best footballer in the playground.

It’s about getting children moving, building confidence, learning new skills and making sport something they look forward to.

This year we’re working with 10 schools.

But we’ve got our eye on something… 👀

Our goalkeeper sessions give young keepers dedicated time to develop their technique, challenge themselves and build confidence in one of the toughest positions on the pitch.

⚽️ WHAT COULD YOUR PLAYER DO WITH 45 MINUTES THAT’S ALL ABOUT THEIR GAME? 👀

That’s the beauty of an SR 1-2-1.

One session might be all about finishing.

The next could be first touch, movement, turning, ball mastery, weaker foot or something that happened in Saturday’s match that they want to work on.

And sometimes?

They arrive with one thing in mind… and the coach spots something completely different. 👀

That’s coaching.

Watching the player.
Challenging them.
Changing the session when needed.
Finding those little details that can make a BIG difference.

And when you see the confidence grow because something finally clicks?

That’s the good stuff. 🔥

We’re already delivering around 15 1-2-1s every week, and we’ve got some September availability to fill.

AHHHH… HOW ARE WE HERE ALREADY?! 😭🎒

Tomorrow is a BIG day in the SR household…

Our Ava starts JUNIORS. 🥹

How has that happened?!

It feels like five minutes ago she was a tiny baby, now we’re getting everything ready for another huge milestone tomorrow morning.

And we know we won’t be the only parents feeling it tonight. 😂

Across the SR family, we’ve got children starting Reception, moving into Juniors, starting new year groups, new schools and taking some really big steps tomorrow. ❤️

Some will be excited.

Some will be nervous.

Some won’t have a care in the world…

And some parents will be holding it together until they get back in the car. 😂😭

So tonight, from our family to yours, we just wanted to say…

GOOD LUCK. ❤️

To every single SR player heading through those school gates tomorrow — go and absolutely smash it.

And to all the parents…
