Exercise is medicine for the body. When something is not working right in your body , please ask it gently what it is trying to say. For some reason or other we choose to ignore what our body is trying to tell us. If you don't believe me try these hip exercises to see exactly what's going on with your bad hip or lower back . I bet you your good side can do these exercises no problem at all but what about that weaker side?
Avoid stretching all the time and start strengthening up your weak hips.

Dear Santa .. all I want for Xmas is to be pain free .

Living with pain sucks big time ! It can suck the last little bit happiness right out of you . Constantly ruminating to yourself and making your life miserable is what chronic pain can do to you .
It can feel like you have exhausted all avenues and yet still the pain lives on and on. Why is that ? For many years I approached my chronic pain with the box standard treatments and within 24 hours of any treatment that pain would be back with a vengeance. It seemed that the more I wished my pain away and the harder I tried .. the more pain was there digging her heals in and gritting her teeth . What was I doing wrong ? What are most folk doing wrong ?

It’s simple :
🔺you are feeding your pain receptors
🔺you are increasing the pain by irritation of constant movements and stretching
🔺you are causing more inflammation in the tissues by over analysing and trying to fix your pain.

Instead :
✅relax your nervous system
✅Stop checking in with your pain ✅rebalance the muscles that are causing your pain

So excited and chuffed with
my new walking jacket
This is my second paramo jacket and they are so comfy and warm for my winter walks .Im no expert on jackets but I know hands down that paramo do the best hoods ( they don’t rustle in your ears and they stay put when you move your head ) so amazing for walkers . I’m feeling equipped and ready to head out no matter what the weather is .

Happy Monday...stay motivated this week with exercises that are simple and very effective . These 2 exercises target all the muscles in the body .
Excellent for strengthening the knee and hip flexors muscles .
Great for swayback posture

✅focus on the stabilising leg
✅keep your eyes down but just ahead of your fingertips
✅keep the pelvis level at all times
✅try to avoid lifting the back leg high

How do we Move beyond the regular hamstring stretch into our next level without feeling overwhelmed and over stretched .
Sometimes many teachers can be too many steps ahead of their clients and never really grasping the beginners mind or body . Well for me it can feel like that sometimes and especially since I have a long history of injuries which sabotaged any progression of flexibility . So I decided to create a workout aimed at beginners and progressing into intermediate which covers :
👉lower back stretching.
👉hip flexors.
👉hamstring prep.
👉inner thighs .
👉deep supported squat.
👉modified splits for a beginner .

When we are living with Sciatica and trying so hard to just get on with our life." I dont have time for this" we generally say...or "I can't beleive this is happening right now"
Well let me tell you WHAT EVERYBODY IS DOING WRONG WHEN IT COMES TO SCIATICA.
You see..most of us will attempt to stretch our hamstrings because lets face it thats where the pain is referring to. All the way down into your leg and your foot. So it makes sense to stretch that out. Yes ? Eh No !
"But the sciatic nerve runs down my hamstring so that is why I Stretch it when I have pain."
Ok then ..well what if I was to tell you that stretching is just simply blowing smoke away from the fire and that the stretch should follow in a order of exercises after you have reset the spine and pelvis .
After all...Would it not be best to put the fire out ? IE ..TREAT SCIATICA AT THE ROOT CAUSE BY RESETING YOUR SPINE AND PELVIS.

The Piates ring is known to make your legs wobble and shake and I can confirm that this is very true!. Whenever I am deciding which prop to use in a class I have to consider what is my focus in todays class.
The ring is the number 1 prop when it comes strengthening and tonning those inner thighs. However there is so much more you can do with the ring ...here are just a few ideas..check it out
