Free Swimming for Drowning Prevention Day πŸŠβ€β™‚οΈ

Swimming lessons help build vital swimming skills, confidence in the water, and an understanding of how to stay safe. However, while these skills can help keep you safer, nothing replaces good water safety awareness.

This Drowning Prevention Day, we're encouraging everyone to enjoy the water safely and take the opportunity to build their confidence with our free swimming in the general swim and fun sessions.

Please visit the reception desk to register for your free thrive card prior to Saturday 25th July 2026 πŸ†“πŸŽ«

Remember: Water confidence is important, but awareness, supervision, and safe decision-making save lives 🩡🌊

πŸ›Ÿ Drowning Prevention Week - Know the Water Safety Code πŸ›Ÿ

Today marks the beginning of Drowning Prevention Week, and we're encouraging everyone to learn the Royal Life Saving Society UK's Water Safety Code.

Whether you're visiting the beach, a lake, river or swimming pool this summer, these simple steps could help save a life:

🧠 Stop and Think
Take a moment to look for potential dangers and make safe choices before entering the water.

πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦ Stay Together
Always stay close to friends and family around water. Never swim alone.

πŸ“ž Call 999 in an Emergency
If someone is in trouble, call 999 immediately. If you're at the coast, ask for the Coastguard.

πŸ’™ Float if You Get into Trouble
If you find yourself struggling in the water, float on your back, keep calm and control your breathing until help arrives or you can swim to safety.

By learning and sharing the Water Safety Code, we can all help prevent drowning and enjoy the water safely this summer.

πŸŒπŸ’› Let’s Move & Donate Food – Join the Movement This March!

We’re excited to be taking part in Let’s Move & Donate Food 2026 β€” a global fitness challenge bringing clubs and communities together to move with purpose.

From 10–27 March, every workout you complete helps power a worldwide movement supporting Technogym and the UN World Food Programme’s mission to donate school meals to children in need.

❀️ Whether you weight train, cycle or lift, move for something bigger.

Together, the global fitness community is aiming to reach an incredible 1 billion MOVEs β€” and you can help us get there!

How to take part:

βœ” Log your workouts through the Technogym App
βœ” Train on Technogym cardio or strength equipment
βœ” Join connected classes like Group Cycle, SkillRun, SkillBike and more
βœ” Track outdoor activities through the app

You can contribute up to 2,000 MOVEs per day, so every session counts!

Even better? You’ll be able to see live leaderboards, spark a little friendly competition, and help us unite our community around a shared goal.

Let’s show what we can achieve when we move together – sign up now through your Technogym app πŸ’ͺ
