What a weekend! With members racing across three different regattas we have had some great results! We had athletes at Wansbeck Regatta, The Met and the Rowing World Cup, unbelievably the weather was comparable across all three locations!

At Wansbeck, a delayed start didn’t slow down a great days racing with wins in the following
-WJ18 2x
-WJ18 1x
-WJ13 1x
-Mx 2x
-J14 4x+
-J16 2x
-Op 2x

Then in Eton we had Susie Youlton racing on both Saturday and Sunday coming in 4th and 3rd respectively in the WU23 1x!

Finally in Seville, club lifetime member Lauren Irwin competing in the women’s 8 came home with a World Cup bronze medal in an incredibly close race only 0.5s from Silver and less than 2s from Gold!

Thanks to our amazing volunteers helping across all events while running 4 sessions at the club at the same time!

That’s a wrap for National Schools Regatta 2026! With three of our members competing across the weekend we had Olivia Tute in the women’s championship singles, Simon Graham in the championship singles and Dana Simpson in the Championship women’s eights.

Olivia in her second year at NSR finished 22nd overall with some great performances including a semi final win.

Simon then came home with a win in the D final, as a J16 this is a great start to his junior NSR years

Finally Dana Simpson rowing as part of St Edward’s School women’s first 8 came home with a silver medal!

Amazing work kids and keep it going through the summer
