💚 A GOAL-FEST AT BIRTLEY! ⚽️🔥

The girls started really well, creating several opportunities but just couldn’t quite find the finish.

It took a calm head from Alexa in the 10th minute to finally break the deadlock and put us 1–0 up! 👏

Consett responded almost immediately, pulling one back and setting up a really entertaining game.

From there, it was end-to-end, with both teams battling hard and the game swinging back and forward.

The final 20 minutes saw the girls really take control, taking advantage of the opportunities that came their way and finishing the game strongly. 💪🔥

Wow Scarlett B 7 goals and and could have been a lot more! Unreal performance today leading the team as captain!

An amazing debut from Scarlett C — lightning pace, constant running and some fantastic deliveries throughout! ⚡️

We absolutely loved Liv in her new No.10 role, sliding some lovely balls through and creating plenty of opportunities. 👌

Alexa got a deserved goal after setting up Scarlett B on several occasions — a brilliant contribution! 🙌

And a special mention to Isla, who got her first goal for the team! 💚⚽️

Confirmed - Kacie Elson 💚

Kacie’s footballing roots began in the Midlands. In 2014, she joined the Aston Villa Centre of Excellence, where her raw speed and technical potential quickly stood out. During her early development years, she gained valuable experience playing in the Women’s Super League development setup.

​Seeking her first true taste of senior football, Elson moved to the North East to join Chester-le-Street Town. She spent two highly productive years at the club, establishing herself as a regular senior player by making 41 appearances and scoring 14 goals. Her performances catching the eye of bigger clubs in the region.

​Elson signed for Newcastle United in the summer of 2019, embarking on what would become a highly successful 5 year tenure.

• ​The Rise: She became an absolute cornerstone of the Magpies’ squad. Her standout individual year came during the 2022/23 season, where she made 25 appearances, bagged 14 goals, and was named the Manager’s Player of the Year as Newcastle secured promotion to the third tier.

• ​Successive Promotions: She played a massive part in the club’s rapid ascent up the women’s football pyramid, helping the team secure back-to-back promotions.

• ​Legacy: By the time she departed Tyneside in January 2025, Elson had firmly cemented her place in club folklore as one of their longest-serving players of the modern era, finishing her Newcastle career with over 90 appearances and 43 goals across all competitions.

In January 2025, Middlesbrough completed the permanent signing of Elson to bolster their attacking ranks. Head coach Becky Langley heavily praised Elson upon her departure from Newcastle, noting that the club "simply wouldn't be in this position without her sacrifices and contribution." She brought her high-level experience and explosive wing-play to Teesside to kick off the next major chapter of her career.

Kacie then returned to Chester-le-Street Town Ladies in September 2025 and we cant wait to see her playing at The Arrowmark 💚

Confirmed Victoria Drummond (formerly Greenwell) 💚

Vicki is a highly regarded former English footballer who played as a combative left-back, best known for her legendary status with Sunderland AFC Women, considered to be one of their greatest ever defenders 💚

Over her extensive career, Vicki made more than 130 appearances for the club, winning six trophies and solidifying that place as one of Sunderland's greatest ever defenders.

Football Career & Achievements

• Sunderland Success (2008–2015): Vicki joined Sunderland in 2008. She was a foundational part of the squad that won three Women's Premier League titles and the 2014 FA WSL 2 title, which secured the club's historic promotion to England's top division.

• Cup Finals & Peak Years: She helped Sunderland reach the historic 2009 FA Cup Final against Arsenal, playing out of position at centre-half for that memorable game. She also helped lead the team to a highest-ever 4th-place finish in the top-flight FA Women's Super League (WSL 1).

• Left-Back of the Decade: Highlighting her legacy, she was voted by fans into the Sunderland AFC Women Team of the Decade as the definitive left-back of the 2010s.

• Early Career: Prior to her definitive era at Sunderland, she played semi-pro football for Newcastle United Women, and spent time playing college soccer in the United States for Memphis University, as well as Northumbria University in the UK.

• Coaching Transition: After stepping away from playing full-time in late 2015 due to ongoing injuries, she returned to Sunderland to serve as an assistant coach under manager Melanie Reay during the 2017 FA WSL Spring Series.

Following her football career, Vicki transitioned entirely into the civil engineering sector. While playing semi-professionally, she completed a Construction Management Honours Degree. Today, she works as a Project Manager, balancing her career with her family life and ongoing passion for football, still playing recreational football with Newcastle Castle United First Women.

We cant wait to see her in action at The Arrowmark 💚
