We specialise in Self defence (JuJitsu), Kickboxing and Mixed Martial Arts classes have a mixed age range, ability levels and are pretty equally split with guys and gals! The self defence class follows a JuJitsu syllabus with some great street self defence techniques and ground work. It is important to look at a wide range of techniques so you have more at your disposal should you ever need them.
We also look at the main area of self defence which is learning how to spot potential incidents and avoiding them. It's a friendly atmosphere and new comers are welcomed and encouraged. It involves kicking, punching, takedowns with throws, sweeps, ground work, locks and chokes (for adult advanced practitioners only) all mixed together. Test your postures, use your Jujitsu techniques in a practical way whilst being resisted and counter attacked. All sparring is controlled and the emphasis is on learning and not combat. Find your limits of balance and learn to work yourself into the correct positions to maximise the use of angles whilst avoiding or minimising the risk of counter attacks and spoils.
