We received an inspiring update from GB wakeboarder Charlie Lloyd recently, which we wanted to share. Great work Charlie, keep it up!

Even though it has been the strangest of years, with different restrictions, I have still managed to ride at least twice per week.
I have continued to use the Lascelles grant to improve my riding further, training at LDB Wakeschool as often as possible with Lee Debuse (British Team Coach) Tom D’Cruze and Sam Carne!
On my most recent trip to LDB Wake School I managed to land a scarecrow (toeside front roll with a front side 180 degree spin).
I then managed to get this into my competition video as one of my five tricks performed in the first ever UK Virtual Wake Open Competition that was organised and judged by Wakeboard UK. I was stoked to take 1st place in Boys U14 division and it was great to see a very high standard of riding from all who entered. This was a great event and hopefully first of many more to come, especially if restrictions continue into next year.
As well as training at LDB Wake School I have also trained at Quays Wake & Ski with Jack Hammersley and Cliff Lakes (my home lake). I have also spent time with Team GB squad member Mark Goldsmith, riding behind his boat in Torbay.
I have really enjoyed passing on the coaching I have received to my younger sister, who is doing really well in wakeboarding snd has developed so much this year.
I still have a little bit of money left from the grant that I intend to use to buy some warmer gear to train throughout the winter months.
I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone I have mentioned above and also my sponsors - Midlands Nautique, Nautique Boats and SilentFox Clothing who have continued to support me even throughout this difficult year. And of course my Mom and Dad who have taken me to all of these places to train.
I hope everyone has a good end of season and stays safe.
Thank you General Lascelles and BWSW for supporting my development this year.
