As players and staff start gearing up for the new campaign, let’s take a moment to think about the challenges that players at this level face.
Having initially had surgery following injury whilst playing for The Curfews back in the 2023/24 season, club legend Mason Welch-Turner goes under the knife again this morning for further surgery on his damaged shoulder.
This will result in a further 6 months of recovery, before he can look to get back to fitness and consider his playing future. It also has obvious impact on his work and personal life. That’s the kind of sacrifice players make to play for clubs like ours at this level.
We are sure you will all join us in wishing Mason a speedy and successful recovery, and in the meantime we look forward to seeing him down at ‘The Lane’ cheering on the lads.
