💙🤍 U12 girls raise £2,200 Child Bereavement UK and equipment💙🤍
The players, parents, and siblings of Chepstow Town U12 are celebrating after successfully raising an impressive £2,200 through a weekend of fundraising, teamwork and community spirit.
The girls, joined by their parents and supporters, took on two challenges earlier in June to raise money for much-needed team equipment, while also supporting the important work of the charity Child Bereavement UK. Half of the funds raised will be donated to the charity, with the remaining amount helping to provide equipment and kit for the team.
The fundraising weekend began with climbing Pen Y Fan, where the girls demonstrated the same determination, resilience and teamwork they show on the football pitch every week. The next day they walked along the scenic Tintern Greenway, travelling ten miles total from Sedbury to Tintern whilst enjoying the support of family, friends and members of the local community along the way.
The event gave the players an opportunity to work together towards a shared goal while supporting a charity that provides vital help to children, young people, and families dealing with bereavement.
The team would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated, sponsored, encouraged and supported them throughout their fundraising journey. The generosity shown by the local community helped make the event a tremendous success and will have a lasting impact, both on the team and on the families supported by Child Bereavement UK.
The girls are proud of what they have achieved and are grateful for the support that will help provide equipment for the team while also making a meaningful difference to others facing some of life's most difficult challenges. A massive thank you to:
