Here are some highlights from the lessons we have run this week. They are on the back of the streetwise seminar that was run by the association last week.
We looked at more relevant street self defence. The high gear suit got good use and made everything a little more real for the students.
We practice our deescalation skills from the fantastic Spear system.
All our students will feel and be safer because of this weeks training

Last weekend we held another round of gradings across TJK Cheltenham, and we couldn't be prouder of every single student who took part.

What stood out wasn't just the techniques or the belt progressions — it was the focus. The genuine, quiet determination in the room. Watching students of all ages bring everything they've trained for into a single performance, knowing how much they've put in to get there, never gets old.

Ju Jutsu isn't just a physical skill. It's a way of developing how you think, how you carry yourself, and how you respond under pressure. Those are qualities that matter every day — at school, at work, in life. Grading day is one moment in a much longer journey, and it's a privilege to share it with our students and their families.

A huge thank you to Sensei Al and Coach James for their hard work on the day — and to our student leaders who supported throughout

Well done to everyone who graded. We're proud of all of you.

All our Ju Jutsu classes will be running this week. We have implemented training protocol to take account of the high temperatures.

The students are in for a real treat...we have found old training videos of Sensei Ross back in his prime.... and no the videos are not speeded up
