GB Women's Underwater Rugby - Team of 2019 This page is about the GB women's team who participated in the Underwater Rugby World Championships i We're Raines, Katie & Laura and we play Underwater Rugby!

We live in Gloucestershire, and every few weeks we make the 6 hour round trip to play with the only UK Team in Putney, London. We're looking to start the first Women's Team in Gloucestershire. We're looking for enthusiastic & adventurous people who want to give something new a try. No experience necessary. Like our page & we'll let you know as soon as we have plans to get together. The next Underwater Rugby World Cup is due to be held in Austria in 2019. The men we train with are already getting ready to take a team to represent GB. We want there to be a GB Women's Team too. Join us and make history.

Hi ladies. Unfortunately we have had to cancel Saturday’s training session. However, details about other sessions will be posted shortly.

In the meantime, feel free to join us at training on a Wednesday night (if you don’t already). We’re at Leisure at Cheltenham every week, from 7pm until 8pm. 😊

Don’t forget there is training every Weds evening from 7pm until 8pm at leisure @ Cheltenham, and every Thursday from 9.30pm until 10.30pm at Putney Leisure Centre. Meet Anita, one of our very dedicated goalkeepers! Don't let her size fool you, Anita is an avid scuba diver and free diver (part woman, part fish!) She definitely loves a challenge and can't wait for the World Championships!

Meet Kristin, one of our fantastic goalies and also our GB women's coach. Kristin fell in love with underwater rugby, and then she fell in love with us. Kristin holds dual British and Norwegian nationality and feels privilliged to join the GB women at their first World Championships.

Meet Natalie, one of our fantastic defenders. Natalie has been swimming her whole life but only added fins and a mask last September when first diving into UWR. She can't wait to learn lots and meet new people who love UWR as much as she does at the World Championships in Graz.
