Celtic Circle School of Irish Dancing

Celtic Circle School of Irish Dancing Celtic Circle is Gloucestershire’s leading, dedicated Irish dancing school. Celtic Circle is proud of its welcoming environment.

Founded in 1999 by All England title winner, Tára Walker, Celtic Circle has grown in both number and talent, and Tára has now enhanced the teaching team to include Joanne Pain (World Championships Qualifier 2010) and former World Champion, James Keating, when on tour break from internationally-acclaimed show ‘Riverdance’. Celtic Circle is a performance-oriented school, where the emphasis is very m

uch on fun and fitness, however in accordance with WIDA guidelines, a regulated syllabus is adhered to ensure this specialist and highly technical form of dance is taught safely and correctly. Competitions and grades aside, the school has an annual 'goal' – a three night production, usually performed at The Playhouse Theatre, which gives all dancers, regardless of age or ability, the opportunity to perform to a professional standard. A number of senior dancers (who have 8-10 years experience) often come along to beginners sessions to assist with one-to-one practise as younger dancers can benefit from a bit of personal help picking up steps, which makes for a very friendly dance school where all members feel welcome and not daunted by the more experienced dancers. There are classes for all ages and abilities – beginners (age 5+), improvers (time to dust off those feis shoes!) and even adult fun and fitness sessions (guaranteed to be more fun than the gym!)

If Celtic Circle sounds of interest to you, please contact us on 07769 560821+ for more details.

This was Irish dancing in my day! No cross over, no tips, no kicking your butt...my heavies had nails in the wooden tips and heels. Oh how times have changed!

Please find five minutes before midday today to follow the link and vote for the Playhouse under the 'theatre' category? Seems so wrong that our 'home' is currently in last place! https://glos.muddystilettos.co.uk/vote/theatre/
