⚽ PRESEASON OPPOSITION WANTED! ⚽

Fintan FC are looking to fill two dates for our preseason schedule as we gear up for the upcoming campaign!

We are looking for fixtures on:
-Saturday, 18th July
-Saturday, 25th July

Location: Away (We are happy to travel!)

Costs: Happy to split pitch and referee fees 🤝

Result from the weekend:
Fintan 2–7 Painswick

A strong start saw Fintan play some excellent football in the opening 20 minutes, racing into a 2–0 lead thanks to well-taken goals from Joey and Dylan.

However, good spells from Painswick turned the momentum, and we went into the break behind.

We couldn’t quite rediscover the rhythm we showed early on, and a disappointing second half saw us concede four more goals.

Plenty to reflect on and improve as we look ahead to the next fixture 🔴⚫️⚽️

We’re back in action this Saturday!
Following an excellent win, the focus is firmly on the next challenge as we host Painswick FC.
All eyes on another 3 points ⚽️🔴⚫️

Result: Fintan 5 - 1 Mitcheldean ⚽️

A complete performance delivered our first away victory of the season in emphatic fashion. After recent narrow defeats, Fintan started with real intensity, causing problems early despite playing uphill and into the wind. The pressure was eventually rewarded with a coolly taken penalty to open the scoring, but Mitcheldean responded with their only real chance, leaving the sides level at the break.

The second half belonged entirely to Fintan. With conditions in our favour, the team played with control and tempo that the hosts couldn’t live with, retaking the lead before adding three more excellent goals. Goals from J Jones, J Clempson (2), J Mulligan and G Green capped a dominant display, with Jon Smalley named Man of the Match after an outstanding performance in midfield. 👏🔥
