Take the next step in your coaching journey.

English Bowls Coaches Society Level 2 Coaching Course

Location: Falcon IBC, Chelmsford

Dates: Wednesday 2, Thursday 3, Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 Sept 26

Time: 10am to 4pm daily

Cost: £80, to cover all facilities and rink fees.

A few places are still available for coaches who are ready to develop their skills, build confidence, and inspire the players they support.

This practical course will for the first time, include Freezing the Head and Video Analysis, giving coaches valuable tools to observe, understand, and improve performance.
Places will be allocated on a first come, first served basis, so early booking is recommended.

Open to all Level 1 coaches from EBCS and Coach Bowls with a minimum of two years’ coaching experience who are keen to grow, learn, and make a lasting difference in the game.

Today we held our final roadshow at RHP bowls club in Chelmsford.
18 bowlers were put through their paces with purposeful practices and then honed their skills with coaching sessions on delivery, line and length.
It was a very enjoyable day for coaches and bowlers alike.

Today we ran a Roadshow at Tiptree Jobserve Bowls Club.
The bowlers were put through their paces in the morning with a range of purposeful practices testing a variety of skills including drawing to an off-centre jack, drawing around short woods, and firing.
In the afternoon they received coaching on delivery, line and length, with the opportunity to put it all into practice.
The afternoon finished with looking at a head and having a brief discussion on which shots to play, and why.

For Coach Bowls registered coaches.

Coach Bowls are delighted to offer National Roadshow of Continual Professional Development Days (CPD) for all Coach Bowls members

Location: Sunday 26th April 2026 @ Falcon IBC – Start Time: 10.30am – 3.30pm

The days will offer Level 1 and Level 2 coaches the opportunity to come together with other coaches from their region, network and share ideas.
There will be practical update sessions led by the Coach Bowls Quality Assurance Team and some of the Tutor Workforce from around the country. There will also be some administrative updates as well as a Q & A forum.

It is strongly recommended that all coaches attend at least one of these days as part of their ongoing commitment to personal development. We will also be encouraging people to email their questions or requests into the Coach Bowls Manager prior to the events so we can try to ensure that these can be met or answered if possible.

The days will run from 10.30am to 3.30pm and will include a lunch break where a light buffet style lunch will be available.

The day will cost £35.00

EBCA Annual Open Meeting - Sunday 15th February at Falcon IBC Chelmsford, 10am till approximately 1pm.

Special guest, John Levy, an experienced NZ bowler, will talk about motivation.

Team members will be sharing information on:
● Coaching Development
● Recruiting youth bowlers
● Our online presence - website, Facebook
● Equipment useful for disabled bowlers and our more elderly bowlers
