Some fabulous trees felled for the factory. The more white wood the prettier the bats, unfortunately you cannot tell until you fell it what it looks like or how it plays until it is made. We still can’t make out why bats are sold for how they look and not how they play, nonsense in our book!

All the timber off cuts from the processing in the factory are chipped and recycled into Biomass to burn for making electricity and heat. Some of the bark is kept separate and chipped for garden mulch as well.

We can’t understand what there is not to like about blue / blackish colour cricket bats. They play as well as white bats, yes they look different . It is caused by either mould in the air and kilns that stains or from the soil where there is metal present. Or near a cattle or pig manure heap that seeps into nearby ditches where they grow. Oak leaves falling in a pond can even cause it. It’s just a colour and it’s friendly on the pocket as well. A few customers sell them and find they sell out very quickly.

Plantation of trees at all stages including some dead young sets and a tree with honey fungus disease. Young dead ones are replaced for two years after that we find an alternative site on the same land. The Honey fungus tree will be cleared and not replanted as that disease remains in the soil.
