Welcome to the official page for Danbury Tennis Club! The whole family is welcome. We have 5 floodlit tennis courts (3 Astro Turf and 2 Clay).

From its humble beginnings on the old Mayes Lane car park, with 2 hard courts, a garden shed for a clubhouse, Danbury Tennis Club has evolved into a friendly, thriving club with over 300 members. Nestling in the delightful National Trust area of Danbury and surrounded by a wonderfully open outlook, it’s an idyllic place to meet friends and enjoy both friendly and highly competitive games of tennis. The club is owned and managed by a committee of its members assisted by a small team of professional staff. There are regular social events, which are enthusiastically supported by members both young and old, especially our Play and Stay evenings, the last Friday of each month from April to September. We also have ample free car parking facilities in Mayes Lane, behind the Sports and Social Centre, a stones throw from the courts. New members of all standards are always welcome. The club offers a full programme of social and competitive tennis for both juniors and adults along with access to high quality coaching facilities. Why not come along to social tennis on Wednesday's 6.30pm till 9.00pm or Sunday's 10.00am until 12pm and try us out? We’d love to meet you!

Don't forget, the biggest day of the club calendar is happening this Sunday, 12 July! The action kicks off from 11:30 AM. Please be aware that coaches will be setting up the courts from 11.15am so Social Tennis will finish at this time.🎾🔥

The weather is looking great, the players are ready, and the trophies are waiting. Come on down to support your friends and family as they battle it out for the club titles! 🙌

🍻 Reminder: The bar will be fully open, so you can enjoy a cold drink while soaking up all the courtside action. 🥂

Clear your diaries! The biggest day of the club calendar is officially next Sunday, 12 July, and the action kicks off from 11:30 AM. 🎾✨

Come on down to witness some absolutely epic tennis, cheer on your family and friends, and soak up the atmosphere. Whether you’re there for the baseline battles, the spectacular volleys, or just the fantastic social buzz, it’s going to be a brilliant day courtside. 🙌

DANBURY SUMMER FETE has been CANCELLED on Saturday 27 June. Mayes Lane Car Park will be open as usual!

The tennis club was running an open day in conjunction with the fete which has also been cancelled. However we will still run our promotion that if you join the club between 27 June - 31 July we will waive the joining fee. Click here to join http://bit.ly/4w8KILQ

The weather is officially hot, the bar is fully stocked and open, and the courts are calling! Come down this Friday for our Play & Stay session - grab a racquet, enjoy some fun tennis, and stick around for a cold drink with great company.

🎾 Club Championships 2026 – Sign Up Now! 🎾

The sign-up sheets are now available on the club noticeboard for this year’s Club Championships!

📝 Sign-up deadline: 4 May 2026

We’ll be running competitions across:
• Men’s Singles & Doubles
• Ladies’ Singles & Doubles
• Mixed Doubles
• Mixed Handicap Doubles

Plus, 'Plate tournaments' will be available for anyone knocked out in the first round (except for the Handicap Mixed Doubles) – so everyone is guaranteed more tennis!

We encourage all members to get involved, compete, and enjoy what is always a great club event.

Looking for a fun and active way to keep the kids busy this Easter? Our popular tennis camps are back – packed with fun, fitness, and fantastic coaching for all abilities!

• Wednesday: 09:00 – 13:00
