🏏 Sunday XI Matchday!🏏

Cricket is back at Springfield today after the rain yesterday as our Sunday XI take on Chingford CC, with the first ball at 1:00pm.

It's always great to see our Sunday side back out on the field, bringing together a mix of experience, youth and plenty of enthusiasm for the game. We’re looking forward to another enjoyable afternoon of cricket and hopefully a strong performance in front of the home support.

It’s been a mixed start for Springfield Cricket Club! ☀️🏏

We’ve seen a real blend of results, with the 2s and 5s flying high, the 1s mid table and the 3s and 4s picking up after difficult starts. The biggest success has been the commitment, effort and enjoyment shown by everyone pulling on a Springfield shirt, and long may that continue.

It's been fantastic to see so many of our colts stepping up, making debuts and continuing to develop their game. The talent coming through the club is incredibly exciting and gives us so much to look forward to in the years ahead. From the youngest age groups right through to senior cricket, the future is looking very bright.

While we have put 5 sides out each week, it hasn’t always been plain sailing, and so we urge everyone to make themselves available when they can. There is after game food every week, so please try and stay and enjoy the social side of the club as well.

Thank you to everyone who has supported Springfield so far this season, players, parents, volunteers - here's to another great month of cricket ahead. 🔰💚💛🔰

Another big Saturday lies ahead for Springfield CC, with four senior sides back in action this weekend! 🏏

Whether you're travelling with the teams or supporting from the boundary, there's plenty of cricket to look forward to across the club.

1st XI are at home to Oakfield Parkonians CC
2nd XI are away to High Roding CC
3rd XI are away to Woodham Mortimer CC
4th XI are at home to Tillingham CC

Unfortunately, due to the weather our 5th XI game has be abandoned !

Good luck to everyone pulling on a Springfield shirt this weekend. Hopefully there are plenty of runs, wickets and wins to celebrate by the end of the day... and perhaps, the weather forecast decides to be on our side! ☔➡️☀️

U12s Win Again!🏏🏏

A brilliant all-round performance saw Springfield U12s claim a 9-run victory over Galleywood CC.

Batting first, Springfield posted 114 with Edson Lindo top-scoring with 31 runs. He then starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets to help restrict Galleywood to 104-9.

A well-deserved Player of the Match award goes to Edson Lindo for his outstanding contribution with both bat and ball. ⭐👏

🏏 T20 Matchday! 🏏

The T20 XI are back in action this evening as they travel to take on Old Chelmsfordians CC, with play getting underway at 6:00pm!

A strong Springfield side has been selected, and the team will be looking to continue building momentum in the shortest format of the game.

If you're nearby, come down and support the lads for what promises to be an entertaining evening of T20 cricket. 💚💛

What a Monday evening for Springfield! 💛🖤

We had both our U15s and Women’s team in action, and it was brilliant to see so much cricket being played across the club.

The U15s were involved in a closely fought cup match against Galleywood and held their nerve to secure a fantastic 3-wicket win. A brilliant effort from the whole team, with Ewan Bryan leading the way and picking up Player of the Match after an excellent unbeaten 35 runs to see Springfield home.

Over at the softball tournament, our Women’s team got their season underway against Galleywood, Ingatestone & Fryerning, and Great Baddow. The team put in a superb all-round performance, winning 2 of their 3 matches and showing great energy, encouragement and team spirit throughout the evening.

A special mention goes to Siobhán Harrison, who made quite an impression in her very first game for Springfield! Siobhán was deservedly named Player of the Day after a fantastic debut, striking the ball brilliantly and helping the team get off to a flying start.

It's evenings like these that make cricket so enjoyable - seeing players of all ages out there competing, supporting each other and creating memories together.

Sunday was a busy one at Springfield, with plenty of cricket being played across the club and lots to celebrate! 🏏

Our U9s put in a fantastic performance against Broomfield, securing a brilliant 73-run victory.

The U12s were also in superb form, beating Billericay by 110 runs. A special mention goes to Player of the Match Ajay Shankar, whose outstanding effort in the field included 3 catches and a wicket.

It wasn't our day for the U13s, who came up against a strong Upminster side and fell to a 9-wicket defeat. Plenty to learn from and we'll be back stronger next time.

To round off the day, our T20 XI kicked off their cup campaign in style with a 4-wicket win over Hawks CC in the first round. Congratulations to Player of the Match Abi Murugesh for a brilliant performance.

A huge well done to everyone who represented Springfield on Sunday - it's always great to see so many players out enjoying their cricket and giving their all for the club! 👏

🏏 What a weekend for Springfield CC! 🏏

Three wins, some incredible individual performances, and plenty of reasons to celebrate across the club this weekend. 💙💛

The 1st XI got things started with a fantastic 5 wicket victory over Hornchurch Athletic. Fin Baker led the way with the ball, claiming 4 wickets and taking home Player of the Match honours. 👏🔥

The 2nd XI continued the winning feeling with a 42 run victory against Great Waltham. It was impossible to separate Henry Mileman and Jim Symonds, who shared Player of the Match after outstanding innings. Henry made a superb 63, while Jim agonisingly fell just short of a century with a brilliant 98. 💪🏏

The 3rd XI produced the biggest win of the day, beating Eastwood by 119 runs. Rishab Sankararaman and Shrihan Desai were joint Players of the Match after both starring in the victory. Rishi fell heartbreakingly short of a century with 98 runs, while Shrihan backed it up with a fantastic 4 wicket haul. ⭐👏

The 4th XI battled hard against Ilford Catholics but unfortunately came out on the wrong side of a 5 wicket defeat. Plenty of positives to take into next weekend.

The 5th XI were also unlucky to miss out on victory, losing by 36 runs to Great Baddow. However, there was a memorable Springfield debut for Amit Ojha, who scored a magnificent 93 and was deservedly named Player of the Match. An incredible start to life at the club and hopefully the first of many big contributions to come! 🙌🏏

A huge well done to everyone who pulled on a Springfield shirt this weekend. The results don't always go our way, but the effort, commitment and performances across the club continue to make us proud.

Saturday is here and that means another full day of cricket for Springfield CC! ☀️🏏

All five of our senior sides are in action today, with three teams at home and two on the road.
