Some photos from our bowls tour to the Isle of Wight. We arrived on Tuesday evening and played our first game on Wednesday at Cowes Medina. A beautiful setting overlooking the sea. On Thursday we played at Ventnor. A stunningly beautiful ground set between a wooded hill and a steep drop to the sea. On Friday we played at Ryde Marina which was almost on the seafront and next to the hovercraft terminal. Sadly, we have lost against all three clubs but were made most welcome and treated quite royally.
I will post more images tomorrow and Sunday of Camp Hill BC and Bembridge BC.
We have visited some lovely places in the mornings and found some interesting places for lunch.

Even us die-hard bowls players have cancelled our games in this searing heat.
Do come along and try this wonderful and sociable game when it has cooled off a bit. Let me know when you are available to come and the club can arrange for someone to meet you there. Monday afternoons is a good time as a lot of club members will be there. We can provide woods for you to play with. Please wear flat-soled shoes.

All the members of Lionmede Bowls Club are looking forward to the start of our season in mid April. We have enjoyed many social gatherings over the winter, the latest being a rearranged Christmas Party last night. We played games, laughed, ate and drank lots.
If you would ike to join our small friendly club, come along to our open day on Saturday 16 April from 11 until 4. Age is no barrier. Woods will be provided and tea, coffee and biscuits will be served all day. Just two rules, wear flat shoes and have some fun.
