MADDY HEADS TO HQ 🏟️

Former Leek junior Maddy Chandler will head to the County Championship finals at Twickenham this Saturday following Durham’s 58 - 13 victory over Devon on Sunday.

Maddy has been representing her adopted county having moved to the North East to study and play for Durham University. She is pictured (No.7) on her way to the try line in Sunday’s game.

Durham will now play Cornwall in the final at 11am on Saturday.

Another inspiring story for our women and girls players. Good Luck Maddy!

Congratulations to former Leek player who picked up the Player of the Season award after a stellar year in the red and green.

It has been great to see Morgan develop over the past few seasons in the PWR and this award is very well deserved. A fantastic example of what can be achieved with hard work and dedication for all our girls!

Not to be for the green and white today as Staffordshire were downed by a very strong Northumberland outfit.

Congratulations to all members of our senior sides who represented this season with Andy Appleyard as DoR, Joel Booth coaching, Oli Powell becoming the first leek player to captain the side, he and Will Midwinter gaining their caps and Joe Byrne, Tom Hayes and Alex Fitzmaurice-James putting in some strong performances. Also pictured is club President John McDermott who acts as the county Honorary Secretary - Playing Committee.

Well done guys, enjoy some rest and see you soon for 2026/27 💪

All eyes now turn to Scott Rawlings next weekend who will represent the Blue & White of Leek as he heads to Twickenham with Lancashire. Best of luck Scott.

Best of luck to 5 Leek players featuring for Staffordshire in today’s County Championship Semi-Final fixture away to Northumberland.

Will Midwinter will earn his cap for 10 appearances and Joe Byrne is set to earn his 5 appearance tie as they both start in the backline. Oli Powell continues at prop with Tom Hayes returning in the backline row. Alex Fitzmaurice-James will look to inject his pace from the bench.

Best of luck to the lads who made the journey up to Tyneside last night, one game away from Twickers 🙌

Staying with county news we are all delighted to hear that our Academy players Dom and Federico have been selected to a 30 man County u18s training squad for next season following their successful campaigns in the u17s this season. Well done lads 👏👏
