The members turned up to play for The Granelli Charity cup on Sunday. All money raised was for Wythenshawe Hospital charity.
Absolutely fabulous buffett. The winners were Pauline O’Sullivan and John Gallagher runners up Beryl Burns and Len Brumby. A very close match enjoyed by the members.

In sweltering temperatures of 30 degrees today the members had a game of round robin.
Jane Walker and Mel Thornton won 1st prize, Margaret Booth paired with Colin Suggett along with Lesley Moore and Peter Walsh came 2nd and Sandra Saxon and David Elliot came 3rd
There was a raffle which raised a few bob and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the ice creams Sandra brought along

Today the bowlers played for The Byrne Cup a lovely trophy that Brian Byrne has sponsored for 43 years. A great day was enjoyed with a Buffett and bowling that started at 12 noon and didn’t finish 7pm. The bowlers during the course of the day dodged 3 cricket balls and a tennis ball flying over the nets and pavilion to land on the green!!!!! I think we need danger money.
However, after working their way through the different levels David Barratt and Ann Thompson won the trophy with Steve Williams and Mel Thornton, helped out by Lionel, after a slight mishap with Mel were runners up. Great to see two of our new members winning a trophy.

Well what a great celebration we had today. Derek Hohne, one of our playing members celebrated his 100th birthday …. yes his 100th birthday. Over 40 members turned up and played a round robin comp.
We also enjoyed a great buffet and a lovely piece of Derek’s cake to take home. The competition results were
Gill Johnson and John Woolley won 1st prize. Linda Perrin and Len Brumby came 2 nd and Lana Naughton and Andrew Wiatr came 3rd. Leslie Moore and Pauline o’Sullivan, Beryl Burns and Cliff Clinkard won ‘their bus fare home’
