Thank you to everyone interested in the progress on the pool reopening.

It was a technical fault which resulted in the closure this has now been rectified and we are waiting for the water to clear.

I will update as reopening comes near.

📣 Volunteers Needed for Empress Swimming Pool

We’re looking for Chatteris‑based volunteers to help keep the Empress Swimming Pool running smoothly for our community. This is a voluntary role and is perfect for someone who enjoys being hands‑on, supporting a team, and helping to carry out plans already in place.

We’re especially looking for people who:
• Have some experience in fundraising
• Can actively support our office staff
• Are happy to attend meetings and help put agreed actions into motion
• Don’t mind rolling up their sleeves and helping around the pool wherever needed
• Anyone with technical experience especially of plumbing, electrical or IT.

This role is all about being part of a supportive team and helping with the practical side of keeping the pool running — without the pressure of making major decisions.

As we continue preparing for the new season, we're inviting players, supporters, volunteers and members of the local community to join us for our Work Weekend.

There will be a variety of jobs taking place around the ground, from general maintenance and repairs to tidying, painting, strimming and much more.

Whether you can spare an hour, a morning or a full day, every bit of help makes a huge difference.

Many hands make light work, and together we can ensure Lilies Stadium is looking its very best ahead of the new campaign and the official stand opening.
