Well done to St Mary's boxers Isaiah and Jack Boxing down in Eastbourne this evening...Both performed well, Isaiah getting the win and Jack losing on points, well done to both boxers🥊

Alfie had a great 1st round he looked to have won...Started the 2nd well and got caught with a clean punch and ref jumped in and gave a standing count...Carried on scoring punches and exchanging, then ref jumped in again and at schools age, 2 counts is automatic stoppage loss!
Understandably, Alfie was frustrated the way counts were given to him, but showed big improvements in technique and can be proud of this, in what is his first season on Boxing 🥊

Was nice see world Heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois outside the weigh in, as his younger brother is also Boxing in a different weight class to Alfie today, he comes across nice and chilled👌🏾🥊

St Marys Amateur Boxing Club in Chatham are sending a team of 6 young boxers to the prestigious Manchester Box Cup on the weekend of 20th and 21st of June 2026. These box cups are spread across experience categories of schools and Junior, so gives several boxers the opportunity. As you will see in the pictures attached, we have entered boxers in these events previously and not only have our boxers brought home lots of medals, but most importantly enjoyed the comradery and made many life memories.
Its a 2 day event, where boxers will compete on Saturday and Sunday to try and win a Gold medal. Boxers come from all over Europe for these prestigious, well organised events. As you can imagine, the cost of minibus fuel, hotel rooms etc. are going to cost a lot of money.
We are looking for a local business who can help us raise some money to help with these costs. We are having special Manchester Box Cup T-Shirts made and the company will have their compsny names and logo put on the back and will not only be advertised at the competitions, but by the boxers who wear them at training and around town, on their return.
If your company or anybody you know might like to donate a tax deductible amount, to help the boxers of Medways only registered charity Boxing club, please be kind enough to inbox us.

Well done Isaiah, boxed well, but unfortunately lost to London champion from Repton on Saturday. Great achievement, winning 3 bouts in 3 weeks to get to last 8 in country in his first season Boxing 👏🏾🥊
And he was straight back at training the next day, sparring on Sunday, great attitude 👌🏾

Another cracking fight / win for boxing in the southern counties final winning via a 3/2 split decision against a very strong kid, Isaiah is boxing and improving each and every fight doing exactly everything asked off him and now moves forward to the national quarterfinals via London
