1830 kick off bar open from earlier at the lane

The treble winners are back in action 📸

Forton welcome Beaminster tomorrow night for an evening friendly. After last week's pre-season win, we look to continue in good form with a new manager and new signings.

6:30 kick off, bar open from 6 until late. Come and support the mighty pelicans.

The legends of Forton FC veterans assembled for their first pre season against old foes RNAS Yeovilton . The legends ended the season strong so expectations were higher than previous seasons.
These expectations were quickly dampened when old habits reappeared and a soft as you like goal was conceded within the first minute .
This just bought the focus levels up and after that it was pretty much complete domination from Forton who spent the whole half camped in Yeoviltons defensive third of the pitch .
It was at this ground last year when the comments of the opposition whilst benfing us over backwards and being 7 - 0 up at half time that bought around the rebuild required and no where more apparent had the work of that rebuild showed the fruits of its labour as a visually shook and surprised Yeovilton were descending in to falling over and whinging as they struggled to contain a rampant Forton .
The goal never came but the work on shape and incoming manager Ollie Faulkners ideas will show its worth as we now build up to an exciting season ahead
Man of the match goes to John Furnish who making his first appearance in defence for the legends marshalled the back line superbly, allowing for the loss of defensive stalwarts fish and Adam not to be felt too keenly .
A special mention to our debutants too putting it a solid show and we look forward to integrating you in to the squad from here on in
Next outing for the legends of Forton is Friday 18th August at home v West Dorset.

We're back!! After a busy and emotional off season the purple legends get their preseason underway this Sunday away to our old friends and that scouse bloke we can't understand at RNAS Yeovilton, 11am kick off!!

So.....how are the wag bribes going to allow your absence for football? 🤔.......the cost of us playing the beautiful game on the field of dreams (other pitches are available) can be high, we at Forton Rangers FC just wanted to let you all know we are here for you, to support you in any way we can in your efforts to join the purple pelicans for the 23/24 season.......but were not going to IKEA for you!

To aide you in your efforts, why not get a few lads together and put a side in for the FORTON 5'S!! Happening on August 5th (details on the main Forton Rangers page!) football, bbq, bar, and hopefully sun!! The newly formed 'I've lost him to football' counselling service will be on site in the bar all day (you'll find them by the wine and alchopops 😜)
