To all our lovely followers and members of Oakwood Academy. As we grow as a school, I have taken the decision to create a new page to enable all of our wonderful updates to be in sync across both platforms in hopes that I can ensure all members of the academy are updated as efficiently as possible!

What a beautiful weekend of dancing from our competition team at Solent Dance Festival 🩵✨

Day 1

🥇 Ruby and Fleur with their new song duet, which they performed after only having two lessons to learn it!

Beautiful tapping from our lovely little Elodie, with your first ever tap solo 🌼

Our ballerina Abi performing her best so far, landing her double pirouette perfectly as well ⭐️👌🏼

🥇 with 87 marks to Fleur with her new song. Incredible feedback, and confident performance ❤️

4th place for both Laurel and Charlotte in their lyricals. Both looking absolutely gorgeous and gaining such good marks in a big section 🩷🩵

Day 2

🥉 Eva and 4th Annalise in their tap solos! Well done both of you for working hard in class to make sure you can hear all your tap beats!

🥇 Elodie in her modern solo. Well done for listening to your music and making sure your feet stretched on every kick ❤️

Brilliant performances from Eva and Annalise in their NEW modern solos! You have both worked hard on your modern technique with me and Miss Abbie, and I am so glad you got on stage and enjoyed yourselves 💙

Well done everyone, you should be so proud of all the hard work ✨

Special mentions to my incredible sister for all her work on the girls costumes ✨ and Miss Abbie for her beautiful choreography, we couldn’t do it without you ⭐️

First one back after the long summer break and what a way to start back!

We have lots of festivals coming up over the next two months and I can’t wait to watch everyone perform ✨🤍

Me and Miss Abbie are excited to be back on our busy Friday evenings with a few new classes 🪩✨

We still have spaces available in our NEW acro and conditioning class, with a FREE first lesson, get signed up today ✍️🤸

Don’t forget we also have adult tap continuing after the success of our Tuesday classes in summer ☀️ It is beginner level, so dust of those tap shoes and get dancing ✨ £8 per lesson with no sign up!

There is no baby ballet with Miss Abbie this week as all trial lessons are with Miss Ellie tomorrow but will be resumed the following week!

It’s our final week of Summer Tuesday Night classes 😢☀️

If you’ve enjoyed any of the classes, don’t worry because we run them in term time as well, just at slightly different times, I have put the timetable below:

Tuesdays - Broadway Fitness
Thornden Hall - 7:30-8:30

Wednesday - Pilates
The Ritchie Hall - 6:45-7:45

Friday - Tap
The Ritchie Hall - 7:15-8:15
