Two achievements during the week and then a hat trick on Saturday! 🎉

Seeing the children being introduced to new skills, developing their confidence, and then mastering them is what it’s all about. Their hard work and determination are paying off, and we couldn’t be prouder of every swimmer! 💙

Back Day Essentials 💪

Today’s demo covers:
✅ Lat Pulldown – build width through the lats and improve upper-body pulling strength.
✅ Seated Row – target the mid-back, rhomboids, and rear delts for better posture and balance.
✅ Dumbbell Row – develop unilateral strength, stability, and overall back thickness.

Focus on controlled reps, full range of motion, and quality contractions over heavier weight.

💙🌊 FLOAT TO LIVE – WATER SAFETY AWARENESS 🌊💙

This week, our adult swimming lesson participants are learning the lifesaving Float to Live technique as part of the RNLI’s water safety campaign.

If you unexpectedly find yourself in difficulty in the water, remembering these simple steps could save your life:

🛟 Tilt your head back with your ears submerged
🛟 Relax and try to control your breathing
🛟 Move your hands and legs gently to help you stay afloat
🛟 Once your breathing is under control, call for help or swim to safety if you can

Cold water shock can cause panic and make it difficult to swim, but floating on your back helps you regain control and conserve energy.

Our adult swimmers have been practising this important skill during their Tuesday evening lessons, helping them build confidence and stay safe in and around the water.
