Coming Home — Day 9
Home can be Earth medicine.
I spent four days at Elemental Temple Festival working with the amazing team at and it was pure magic!
After almost a year of non- stop work for get the studio planned, open and energised. I was ready to receive the medicine from the elements.
For me, cacao is medicine. Not because she fixes anything, but because she creates space. Space to connect. Space to slow down. Space to sit with people, share stories, laugh, cry, dance and just be human.
One of the things I loved most was watching people arrive as strangers and leave as friends, all gathered around a cup of cacao.
Being barefoot on the land is medicine too. Feeling the earth beneath my feet, the sun on my skin and remembering that sometimes the things we need most are the simplest things.
Thank you, Dom Carolina and Dominic, .uk for the healing, the meditations, the conversations and the beautiful spaces you created.
Thank you, Ardavan, for keeping us fed with the most incredible fruit and the banter!! 🎶 coconut boats 💛
And of course, I sang and danced. A lot. Which might just be my favourite medicine of all.
There’s a saying often shared in Indigenous wisdom circles:
“When did you last sing? When did you last dance?”
I think there’s a lot of wisdom in that.
Thank you, Elemental Temple Festival.
