The annual Chalfont St Giles Golf Day was held at Oaklands Park on Friday 29th May, with 18 members and guests playing golf in perfect weather conditions. This was the third running of the golf tournament and players completed in the Ryder Cup style matchplay competition, with two teams capably led by Rob Skinner (Europe) and Tom McCardle (USA), with Europe taking the title 3.5 to 1.5 points. The golf was followed by a good lunch and some additional prize giving for the longest drive, nearest the pin and the inevitable and most unwelcomed, most golf played – no names given! Thanks to Bas Spaargaren, John Dwyer, Rob Skinner, Tom McCardle and all those that attended and gave it their best effort. We are already looking forward to 2027 with a President’s Cup vibe!!

12 players. 2 hours. 7 rounds of mixed doubles. 30 hot dogs consumed and 4 bottles of wine won.

There was some smashing tennis out there today and lots of laughter! 🎾

Massive thanks to The Committee for running the BBQ and providing the refreshments and also a special “thank you” to our fabulous new coach, Kate, for running a seamless competition.

All in all, a great day for CSGTC! 🎾🫶🏼

Anyone for tennis?? This Bank Holiday Monday, join us for our ever-popular American Tournament 🎾🇺🇸

Arrive by 1pm to enter into the competition. We will have BBQ hotdogs on the go and prizes for our winning Lady & Gent.

The fun is open to all adult members. No prep necessary so just come on down! ☀️🤩🎾🌭🍻

Our first Prosecco & Play evening was a roaring success this week with a great turnout from our ladies’ section. Clearly, fuelled by bubbles, we went on to play some great tennis the next morning in the Ladies’ Charity League, winning 7/9 sets! 💪🏽🎾🥂

If you couldn’t make it down this time, then look out for dates on when we’ll be running our next social events. In the meantime, Ladies Night, roll-up-and-play, takes place every Tuesday evening from 6-8pm, so come on down and enjoy a good bit about.

Running both weeks of the school holidays, our camps will take place from 9.30am until 3pm daily.

A wonderful evening of fabulous wines and cheeses at CSG Tennis Club, with -
Katherine and John were superb hosts, treating us to an assortment of delectable delights. Lovely to learn all about the small family businesses who supply much of the produce sold at Gershon & Sons in Amersham.
