The Club had its Christmas dinner on the evening of Monday, 9 December, at our usual location, The Fox in Chaddesley Corbett, and an enjoyable time was had by all, as you can tell! Many thanks to Natter Leader Trish Wheal for organising the whole thing.

On 21 August some 22 members of the North Worcs 'Old Farts Luncheon Club' were invited to tour the works of JME Healey in Warwick, historical home to the Healey name and currently restorers and repairers of most cars with the Healey badge, but mainly 'big' Healeys. A few photos are attached. Next trip will hopefully be the Aston Martin Heritage Centre. Photos courtesy of Grosvenor Lucas.

NWMGCC member Jim Caddick organised another of his popular day runs for Club members on Monday 15 July. The route took us out around the country roads of Worcestershire and Gloucestershire via the Malverns, Upton-on-Severn and on in to Tewkesbury. We stopped for a picnic by the Severn at Lower Lode Lane, opposite the historic Lode Lane Inn. Trouble was, it was on the other side of the river! Determined to get a drink on what was a lovely warm and sunny day, a quick phone call to the local boat man ("I only work Wednesday to Sunday") had us over to the pub in two boat-loads. Some reported that the vibrations from the outboard motor were rather enjoyable! 30 minutes later we were back with the cars, picnic consumed, and the final part of the run via the historic bridge at Eckington, and ending at The Dog in Harvington where further liquids were taken in. Thanks to Jim for arranging a lovely day out.

Over the weekend of 28 June to 1 July, members of the Club spent a very enjoyable time at Llanerchindda Farm, near Llandovery in mid-Wales. The farm has garnered a good name and reputation for hosting car club groups, as well as walkers and off-road motorcyclists, all wanting to enjoy the Welsh countryside. Accommodation is available on a dinner, B&B basis, and the team at the farm will provide route books for various tours. Members of the farm staff also travel out to different location to take photos of the cars, and the photos shown here are typical of what they do. Our first day tour took us out to the Elan Valley, Devils Bridge, Tregaron and the lovely Llyn Brianne reservoir, locations we have visited before but it's always worth another. Day two saw us taking in the River Wye on the Usk Loop, Tretower House, and via Crickhowell, eventually taking a miltary road across the firing ranges. There was some trepidation when we saw a red flag flying, but we had a clear run! Accommodation was very comfortable, and food was excellent. The management team were unfailingly helpful. A highly recommended short break holiday.
