Aberystwyth University Hiking Club This is the page for the Aberystwyth University Hiking Club, with updates and events posted here. We attract members of all ages and nationalities.

AberHike is among the largest and most active outdoor sports clubs in Aberystwyth, with weekly trips to the mountains and longer residential tours throughout the year. All our leaders are trained through a BMC-certified Mountain Leader Award and hold Emergency First Aid qualifications, so you may enjoy yourselves without having to worry. AberHike is particularly popular among International Exchang

e students as it poses a great way to get out of Aber and see the rest of Wales and the UK, as well as countryside unique to the world. We hike once or twice a week, and meet on Tuesdays for our Socials. Visit our SU page or message us to find out more!

Mae'r broses sefyll ar gyfer pwyllgor Aberhike 2024-2025 nawr ar agor! Mae'r holl wybodaeth am y gwahanol rolau sydd ar gael yn y graffeg atodedig.

Mae bod yn aelod o’r pwyllgor yn caniatáu ichi siapio a gwella’r clwb mewn i rhywbeth cyffrous i fyfyrwyr newydd a chyfredol, yn ogystal â rhoi profiad gwirfoddoli gwerthfawr i'ch CV. Yn ddelfrydol, bydd ymgeiswyr yn cymryd rhan yn rheolaidd mewn gweithgareddau clwb.

- Committee Elections 2024 -

Standing for the 2024-2025 Aberhike committee is now open! All the information about the different roles available is in the attached graphics.

Being a committee member allows you to shape and improve the club into something exciting for new and current students, as well as giving you valuable volunteering experience on your CV. Ideally, candidates will have regular participation in club activities.

You must be a member to both run and vote in the election.

To stand for a role, head to: https://www.abersu.co.uk/changeaber/elections/

The deadline for submitting your manifesto is 12:00 04/03/2024.

Voting will be open from 12:00 11/03/2024 – 12:00 15/03/2024.

Please feel free to talk to current committee members about their role on hikes and socials if you are interested. We will be hosting a meeting for members to talk about committee roles and responsibilities as well as Mountain Leader Training soon.

You must submit your manifesto for your desired role by 12pm on 17/04/2023.

Voting opens 12pm on the 24/04/23 and closes on the 26/04/23.
