Cemaes Juniors – Tournament Weekend Round-Up 🔴⚪️⚽️

What a fantastic weekend of football for Cemaes Juniors, with our U6s, U7s and U8s all representing the club brilliantly across tournaments in Valley and Llangefni.

🔴⚪️ Cemaes U7s – Valley Tournament

The Cemaes U7s travelled to Valley on Friday evening to take part in a well organised tournament, taking on some tough opposition throughout the evening .

The lads started off well, working hard for one another, showing plenty of determination in the tackle and some excellent pieces of play. There are still a few things to work on as we prepare for next season, but overall the boys should be proud with how they performed and represented the club.

Every player gave their all and continued to show the effort, attitude and teamwork that have been a feature of their football all season long.

🔴⚪️ Cemaes U7s – Llangefni Tournament

The lads were back in action the following morning as they travelled to the Llangefni Tournament, this time adapting to the new season rules with designated goalkeepers and a larger pitch.

Despite the changes, the boys took everything in their stride and embraced the challenge brilliantly. Although they didn’t manage to reach the finals, every player should be extremely proud of their efforts, determination and willingness to learn in a new environment.

A special mention must go to our goalkeeper, who produced some outstanding saves throughout the tournament to keep the team competing in every game.

🔴⚪️ Cemaes U6s – Llangefni Tournament

As soon as the U7s had finished, the U6s arrived in the afternoon for their own tournament and what a weekend it turned out to be for our youngest Bay players.

The team were outstanding throughout, topping their group by winning all of their matches to qualify for the Championship League Final. The boys and girls battled hard for every ball, played some excellent football and showed tremendous teamwork and resilience.

Although they fell just short of lifting the trophy in the final, they should be incredibly proud of everything they achieved. Reaching the final and performing so brilliantly throughout the day is a fantastic accomplishment.

🔴⚪️ Cemaes U8s – Llangefni Tournament

While our U6s were battling hard on one side of the pitch, the U8s were putting in equally impressive performances against some very strong opposition.

The boys worked tirelessly throughout the tournament, producing some excellent displays of teamwork, determination and well worked set pieces. Their commitment and attitude never wavered, and they fully deserved their place in the latter stages of the competition.

Progressing all the way to the final against Cae Glyn, the lads gave absolutely everything in a tightly contested match that ultimately went to penalties. Unfortunately, it wasn’t to be our day, with the final ending in a 1–0 penalty shootout

A massive well done to every player who represented Cemaes Juniors this weekend. The attitude, effort and teamwork shown across every age group were outstanding and a real credit to the club. There is so much to be proud of, and the future is certainly bright for our young Bay players. 🔴⚪️

Yesterday marked the final Mini Kickers session here at Cemaes Bay.

Since October last year, it has been an absolute privilege to watch these young players grow in confidence, develop their football skills, and build friendships on the pitch. Week after week, they’ve turned up with huge smiles, eager to learn, play together and, most importantly, enjoy the game. Seeing their progress has been incredibly rewarding.

Mini Kickers will be returning in the next couple of weeks under the guidance of a new coach, while some of our current Mini Kickers have now finished their time in the group and are preparing for an exciting milestone – their very first season playing for The Bay in September. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for them all.

A huge thank you goes to all of the children and parents for their support throughout the season. Special thanks must also go to our fantastic assistant coaches – Lexi, Grace and Owain – whose help, enthusiasm and commitment have been invaluable in giving these youngsters the opportunity to get on the pitch and fall in love with football.

Thank you for the memories, and the support. It’s been a pleasure to be part of the start of these children’s football journeys.

Cemaes Juniors U7s – Tournament Report 🔴⚪️⚽️

Tournament Report – 06/06/26

Another fantastic day of football for the Cemaes U7s, who put in some excellent performances throughout the tournament and battled brilliantly to reach the latter stages of the competition.

The team played some great football throughout the day, showing tremendous teamwork, determination, and quality on the ball. They gave everything in every game and fully deserved their place in the semi-finals, going on to finish third in the group overall — a brilliant achievement to be proud of.

Unfortunately, their tournament came to an end in the semi-finals with a defeat to a Llangefni side. The boys gave everything right until the final whistle and can be extremely proud of their efforts throughout the day. Finishing third in the group is a fantastic result and a real testament to the hard work and heart shown by every player 🔴⚪️

Cemaes Juniors U6s – Match Report 🔴⚪️⚽️

Cemaes U6s vs Trearddur Bay U6s – 07/06/26

A tough afternoon for the Cemaes U6s today as they took on Trearddur Bay in blustery conditions, but there were plenty of positives to take away from the game despite the scoreline not going their way.

The boys battled hard throughout and were far from outplayed — they created chances, went close on more than one occasion, and showed real determination right to the end. A couple of efforts went just wide and one unlucky strike came back off the post. On another day, the goals would have come.

Concentration proved costly early on, with a couple of goals conceded in the opening stages that set the tone for the afternoon. Trearddur Bay also took their chances well when they came, but the Cemaes lads never stopped working and battled strongly in what were difficult playing conditions for young players.

There were no goals to report on our side this time, but the effort and fight shown by every player was clear to see, and that’s what matters most at this stage of their development 🔴⚪️

🌟 Player of the Match — Reuben

A well-deserved award for Reuben, who was outstanding throughout and unlucky not to get his name on the scoresheet. Huge mention also to Roman, who put in a fantastic shift and was a credit to the team.

A massive well done to every player who pulled on the Cemaes shirt today — keep working hard, keep enjoying your football, and the goals will come! 🔴⚪️

Tournament Report – 31/05/26

Another fantastic day of football for the Cemaes U8s, who put in some excellent performances throughout the tournament and were unlucky not to reach the final

The team played some brilliant football from start to finish, showing great teamwork, determination, and quality on the ball. They battled hard in every game and fully deserved their place in the latter stages of the competition

Unfortunately, their tournament came to an end in the semi-finals with a narrow 2-1 defeat to a Felinheli side. The boys gave everything right until the final whistle and can be extremely proud of their efforts throughout the day

Cemaes Juniors U7s – Holyhead Hotspur Tournament Report 🔴⚪️⚽️

Holyhead Hotspur Tournament – 30/05/26

The U7s travelled to the Holyhead Hotspur Tournament today and were faced with a new challenge, playing with goalkeepers and on a larger pitch than they are used to.

The boys adapted brilliantly throughout the day and deserve huge credit for the way they approached every game. They worked hard for one another, showed great determination, and continued to improve as the tournament progressed 💪⚽️

Their efforts were rewarded with a place in the Europa Semi-Finals, where they came up against a strong Llangefni side. The boys gave everything but were unfortunately edged out by a single goal in a closely contested 1-0 defeat. Despite the result, reaching the semi-finals was a fantastic achievement and something they should all be proud of

Cemaes Juniors U6s – Match Day Report 🔴⚪️⚽️

Cemaes U6s vs Amlwch U7s @ Cemaes Bay FC – 24/05/26

A brilliant performance from the U6s today playing against Amlwch U7s.

Every single player played their part and worked hard throughout the game, with the team playing some fantastic football and scoring some really well worked team goals.

Roman and Caian’s passing was excellent today, moving the ball accurately and helping the team work their way up the pitch brilliantly. The teamwork and confidence on the ball continues to improve week on week.

Reuben was an absolute machine in defence today and produced a brilliant last save that denied Amlwch a goal.

Another massive moment today was Sofia scoring her very first goals for the club and she didn’t stop at one, helping herself to a fantastic hat-trick on her first run out.

After a great run of form in recent weeks, our u15s unfortunately lost on Saturday in the Barritt Cup final against Llangefni.

It was a competitive game throughout and the lads should be proud of their performance.
