will field 3 Senior Teams across the YCSPL & BDCL, plus 8 Junior teams (including 1 girls) across the BDJCL, and 2 Ladies teams playing in the Huddersfield Section of the West Yorkshire Women and Girls League.

Today starts a busy few days at the Club, starting tonight with our usual Junior training and family night, starting at 5pm with Dynamos Cricket session 5 as well as U9s.

Bar and Clubhouse open serving hot and cold refreshments plus hot food.

Tomorrow is Game Week 10 of the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League with the First X1 at home to Cleethorpes Cricket & Squash Club, game starting at 12 noon and kindly sponsored by Shaun Hayes.

The Second X1 travel to play Parkhead Cricket Club, with game starting at 12 noon.

On Sunday morning the U13s host Kexborough CricketClub U13s, game starting at 10am.

On Sunday the First X1 travel to Castleford Cricket Club in Rd 2 of the Heavy Woollen Cup, game starting at 1pm.

The Sunday Development X1 host BULLCROFT MAIN CRICKET CLUB in a Barnsley & District Cricket League Div 3 North Fixture, game starting at 1pm and kindly sponsored by Ron Carbutt.

The Clubs MVP Report has landed following Game Week 9 of the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League, and once again Ikramullah Naseri leads the table after another solid Saturday performance v Hallam CC at Dark Lane.

Only 4 points separate the next three players, it’s certainly hotting up for a top three spot

Last night our U17s were in action as they played Monk Bretton Cricket Club U17s in a Barnsley & District Junior Cricket Association league Fixture. Cawthorne won the toss and elected to bat. 52 RNO from Henry S and 33 NO from Cam P took them to 140/2 at the Innings break.

In reply Monk Bretton could only reach 116/6 at the close with Tom P taking 3/16 and Ty J 2/28 doing the damage with the ball.

Tonight the U15s travel to Elsecar Cricket Club to take on the U15s.

Tonight 2 of our Junior sides are in Barnsley & District Junior Cricket Association league action.

The U17s travel to Rockingham Colliery Cricket Club, game starting at 6pm, whilst our U13s travel to Elsecar Cricket Club Juniors, again game starting at 6pm.

One for the cricket lovers, midweek game at Cawthorne CC on the 29th &30th of June, between Mumbai U25s (all 1st class and IPL Players) v a selection of overseas professionals from the Yorkshire leagues (again all 1st class players)

Play starts at 11am both days playing 90 overs per day, will be well worth a watch weather permitting.

Come down and watch some First Class Cricket, clubhouse and bar open both days.

Yesterday morning our U13s 8 a side team were in Barnsley & District Junior Cricket Association Junior league action as they made the short trip up to Higham Cricket Club. Cawthorne won the toss and put Higham into bat. A good opening partnership gave Higham a great platform to build on and went onto make 129/4 from there 16 overs.

In reply Cawthorne made a good start but by the end fell 16 runs short after scoring 108/3. Good knocks by Aiden L and Captain Charlie and Marty L at the end couldn’t quite reach the target set.

Great game, well done to Higham on the win.

Tonight the U11s make the trip to Darfield Cricket Club, game starting at 6pm.

This morning our U13s get us underway as they travel to Higham Cricket Club in a Barnsley & District Junior Cricket Association fixture, game starting at 10am.

Our ladies First team are also in West Yorkshire Women & Girls' Cricket League action this afternoon with a double header v Marsden Cricket Club Ladies then Liversedge Cricket Club Ladies.

No game at Dark Lane this afternoon Development as the opposition conceded our Barnsley & District Cricket League Div 3 North Fixture.

Round up of today’s games in Game Week 9 of the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League.

The First X1 were at home to Hallam CC. Cawthorne won the toss and elected to bat. 2 quick wickets for Hallam brought Ikramullah Naseri and Liam Wiles to the crease, this pair putting on 74 for the 3rd wicket when Ikramullah departed for 34, Liam Wiles went onto make 106 NO leading Cawthorne to 203/4 from 50 overs.

In reply Hallam never really got going with only 3 batters making it to double figures, they were bowled out for 93 inside 34 overs with Ikramullah Naseri taking 5/24 and Kabir Kohli taking 3/25.

Cawthorne securing all 12 points and moving up to third in the Premier League.

The Second X1 faced a tough trip to league leaders Warmsworth Cricket Club, Warmsworth winning the toss and electing to bat who then scored 301/8 from 50 overs, with Ryan Gibson bagging 4/115 and Buck Rees McClure taking 2/45.

In reply Cawthorne made 191/8 with Nick Lowe making 104 NO and taking 2 points from the game.
