will field 3 Senior Teams across the YCSPL & BDCL, plus 8 Junior teams (including 1 girls) across the BDJCL, and 2 Ladies teams playing in the Huddersfield Section of the West Yorkshire Women and Girls League.

Not the final day of the 2026 season we were hoping for as both teams lose on Game Week 22

First team lost at home to Wickersley Old Village Cricket Club, and finish 5th in the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League,

Whilst the 2s end their Div 1 campaign with a loss at Houghton Main Cricket Club and finish 10th in Div 1.

Tomorrow sees the final week of the the 2026 Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League season.

Game Week 22 sees our First X1 at home to Wickersley Old Village Cricket Club, game starting at 12 noon and kindly sponsored by Mandy Daws 👏👏👏

Whilst the Second Team end their season in Div 1 away at Houghton Main Cricket Club, again game starts at 12 noon.

Today the First X1 travel to Wakefield Thornes Cricket Club to take on York Cricket Club in the K3 Dental Cup Final. Game starts at 12 noon and our Matchball is kindly sponsored by Amber Lea.

Whilst at Dark Lane the club are pleased to be hosting a charity game in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, gates open at 12 noon with the Air Ambulance scheduled to make an appearance around 2:30pm this afternoon.

Entry is £5 for this game, children go free with a paying adult.

Round up from today’s games on the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League.

Game Week 21 saw the First X1 make the long trip to Cleethorpes Cricket & Squash Club, winning the toss we asked Cleethorpes to bat first who went on to score 234/9 from there 50 overs with Alexander Osmond scoring 87 NO from 80 balls. The pick of the Cawthorne bowling attack was Liam Wiles with 5/43

In reply Cawthorne struggled to get any momentum into the innings and were bowled out for 88 inside 29 overs

Cleethorpes taking all 12 points and securing second spot in the Premier League, Cawthorne remain 3rd with one game to go next Saturday.

Meanwhile back at Dark Lane the 2s were hosting Parkhead Cricket Club, Cawthorne won the toss and asked Parkhead to have a bat who made 273/9 from 50 overs, the pick of the bowlers being Thom Macrow with 4/69, Rayyan Azhar scoring 96 from 82 balls for Parkhead.

In reply the 2s struggled to get going and were all out for 132 inside the 36th over

Cawthorne 0 Points, Parkhead 12, Cawthorne drop to 9th in Div 1, but are assured of a Div 1 place in 2027 with 1 game left to play.

It’s a big week for 3 of our Junior Cricketers this week as Jen C and her PGS team mates qualified for the National Finals down at Lord’s, we are proud to announce two more of our players are also making the trip to represent the MCC Sheffield Hub as Finn C & Jack P from our U13s head down to the finals day.

After a successful run of results in the regional qualifying games, Sheffield headed East over to Beverley CC yesterday, to battle it out in the quarter and semi finals of the regional stages - of which they went on to win both games.

A fantastic performance from Finn, Jack and their team mates which leads them to the “home” of cricket today where memories will be made.

Today is Game Week 21 and the penultimate weekend of the 2026 Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League season, which sees the First X1 make the long trip to second placed Cleethorpes Cricket & Squash Club, game starts at 12 noon and our Matchball is kindly sponsored by Amber Lea.

Whilst the Second X1 host Parkhead Cricket Club at Dark Lane with a 12 noon start and the Matchball is sponsored by Shaun Cullumbine.

Tomorrow the First X1 play in the K3 Dental Cup Final where they take on York Cricket Club, with the game being played at Wakefield Thornes Cricket Club. Again the game starts at 12 noon with the Matchball once again sponsored by Amber Lea.

Down at Dark Lane the Club are hosting a charity game in aid of Yorkshire Air Ambulance, entry fee for this one is £5.00 with children free. Gates open at 12 noon, with the Air Ambulance due to make an appearance later in the afternoon.

Another busy weekend awaits for Cawthorne CC, as we reach the penultimate weekend of the 2026 Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League season.

Tonight from 6pm sees the 2026 Junior Presentation Evening where we will be celebrating the season just gone with all our Junior Players and parents.

Saturday sees Game Week 21 with the First team away at Cleethorpes Cricket & Squash Club, game starting at 12 noon and Matchball sponsored by Amber Lea.

Whilst the Second team host Parkhead Cricket Club at Dark Lane, game starting at 12 noon and Matchball kindly sponsored by Shaun Cullumbine.

Then on Sunday the First Team are in the K3 Dental Cup Final where they take on York Cricket Club. The game is being played at Wakefield Thornes Cricket Club with a start time of 12 noon, match ball sponsored once again by Amber Lea

Round up following today’s games in Game Week 20 of the Yorkshire Cricket Southern Premier League

There was only one winner today and that was the weather, both games washed out and 4 points each.

Firsts stay 3rd in Premier League whilst the 2s stay 8th in Div 1.

Tomorrow’s K3 Dental Cup final at Wakefield Thornes Cricket is off due to today’s weather, now rescheduled to next Sunday 6th Sept.
