Last night was Red Rose FC football presentation 2026

The U13s had a great night celebrating their achievements.

Over the past 2 weekends the u12's have been in post season 5aside tournament action. Last weekend at Fakenham we had 2 teams and while both teams gave there all sadly both missed out on reaching the knockout rounds.

Today 1 team represented RR at the fabulous Remys festival of football held at N.Walsham
FC. This is a charity tournament to raise money for the Remy Johnson foundation and great ormond street hospital so we were extremely pleased to be a part of this.

The girls were amazing today and went all the way reaching the final, sadly losing it on penalties. Discounting the pens in the final they were undefeated in the 11 matches they played.
Congratulations to Bure Valley on their victory.

Next weekend Sat 6th June is the clubs end of season presentation evening held at Whitwell And Reepham Station

The ladies travelled to League leaders Bungay and once again put in an excellent all around performance without getting the rewards they deserved
Starting on the front foot Red Rose pushed the opposition back and forced a series of corners, and with Sarah G’s delivery and Kayden causing havoc in the 6 yard box a Bungay defender ended up putting the ball into her own net to give Red Rose the lead. Building on this the ladies played some excellent football with Sarah H and Kat pushing forward to support Tel and shortly afterwards a great through ball from Chelsea set Tel clear to double the lead. With the defence being marshalled by Sam, with Mel and Rachel supporting her, the speedy home forwards were restricted to half chances which Hannah expertly dealt with. Just before half time an unfortunate slip up allowed Bungay to get a goal back. This spurred them on as the second half began and they managed to equalise, but with Charmaine, Charcole and Kayden working to close down the spaces in midfield Red Rose still pushed forward with intent and another cross from Chelsea saw Sarah G restore their lead
However as Bungay saw their promotion chances under threat they threw more players forward and their youthful energy pushed Red Rose back until they finally managed to equalise and then take the lead for the first time. In the final few minutes as tiredness began to set in Bungay added to further goals
The final score line did not represent the flow of the game and once again the ladies had pushed a promotion chasing team to the extreme of their abilities. The overall performance and application of the whole team was excellent and all the players can be proud of their efforts

The u12’s were back in action today in a post season friendly against Div 1 Costessey in what turned out to be a brilliant match.

The team started the game well creating lots of good moments infront of goal and broke the deadlock after 10 mins.
The girls increased their lead before HT scoring from a corner.

This entertaining match saw another 3 goals scored in the 2nd half, 2 from Costessey either side of Red Roses 3rd of the game, a brilliantly taken solo goal dribbling round the keeper finishing into an empty net.

Thank you to Costessey for a brilliant match and congratulations to the team for a very good performance today. 🌹

With the u12’s league season now finished and the u13’s having a free weekend it was the perfect morning to have an end of season club match.
There was plenty of good football but most importantly plenty of smiles and laughs. 🌹⚽️

Both teams have home matches next Saturday @ Reepham High School.
