Monday Motivation!!!
Here is our member Letitia taking part in our Abs Challenge during the summer doing her standing abdominal crunch with a weighted dumbbell.

Letita says that her workout helps her maintain her fitness, health & well being. Keep it up Letitia you’re doing amazing!

Want to try this exercise at home!

Think of this move as slow high knees with an added twist. Stand with feet hip-width apart, shoulders down, arms overhead, and core braced. You can use a weight or not!

Bring right elbow to left knee as you twist through your waist, then return to starting position and repeat on the opposite side. Focus on using your core, not quads, to lift knee and squeeze obliques throughout.

Try this for 2 minutes this morning and kickstart your day.

Happy Monday!

Every October, people all over the world show their support for everyone affected by breast cancer.

Breast cancer is sadly the most common cancer in the UK affecting around 55,000 women and 370 men this year alone. But over a quarter of cases are preventable. Studies have shown that by making changes to your lifestyle you can reduce your chances of getting breast cancer significantly. Breast Cancer UK uses the latest academic research on breast cancer prevention to provide guidance on how to reduce your risk.
Things such as managing your weight, staying fit and active, eating fresh fruit & veg,
avoiding smoking, limiting your alcohol intake and breastfeeding if possible.

It’s important to get to know how your breasts normally look and feel so it will be easier to spot if there are any unusual changes for you.
If you do spot any unusual changes to your breasts you should get them checked out by your doctor.

On 22 October, during Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we will wear it pink, raise money and help make life-saving research and life-changing care happen.
Will you join us exercising in pink & donating to a great cause.
