The new season begins tomorrow for our senior teams, with training commencing out the Bann Road at 1.00pm. New (and returning) players very much welcome for both senior squads. A busy pre season of training and matches is already in place to take us up to the start of the new season.

After a break of 70 days since the final league game of last season, our senior footballers will return for pre season training next Saturday.

Training will take place at 1.00pm out the Bann Road next Saturday. New & old players and last year’s U18s all welcome for both our first and second teams as we get underway for the new season.

Below is the confirmed pre season schedule to date. Some excellent tests there to get the boys ready for another promotion push in 1C with Mid Ulster Intermediate B side Bessbrook first up at the end of the month.

⚽️⚽️ 𝗬𝗢𝗨𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗢𝗪𝗡 𝗕𝗢𝗬𝗦 𝗦𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗘 𝗜𝗡 𝗕𝗔𝗟𝗟𝗬𝗩𝗘𝗔 ⚽️⚽️

Several of our youngest teams across 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 attended the annual Ballyvea Youth Tournament yesterday. The young town stars put on a great showing with 3 teams progressing to the cup semi finals and our two 2019 sides progressing to the shield semi final where they would meet each other. The 2019 town team would progress from that game and go on to win the final on penalties, a great way for the boys to finish their first ever season of football. The progress this year has been first class.

The cup semi final was where it ended for our 2017 boys who put in great effort across the day but would suffer the heartbreak of defeat on penalties.

It was a different story for both the 2018 & 2016 Town boys who both won their respective cup competitions, playing some excellent football across the day. The 2018 squad went through the day undefeated without conceding a goal, playing some superb football and racking in the goals on the way to a 3-0 victory in the final to lift the cup.

The 2016s were equally impressive conceding only one goal across the day as they finished runner up in their group before progressing to the final following a victory on penalties in the semi final. The lads would take the cup victory with a 1-0 win in the final in what was another excellent performance and another tournament win to conclude the season.

A massive thank you to the coaches and parents for all their help yesterday and indeed across the season with our youngest teams. These early years are so important in their development as footballers and we’ve seen almost 100 kids across these 4 age groups this season - a real sign of the continued growth within our club and it’s great to see.

Thank you to everyone at Ballyvea FC for another fantastically organised tournament - the young town boys and their coaches had a blast.

Our Playr-Fit Teamwear shop is now open for orders for the new season. The shop closes midnight 16th June and all orders will be delivered before the end of August in time for the new season.

It won’t be long until pre season is here and the new season is upon us and we’re delighted to announce the teams in this years Petsy Corrigan Cup.

A reduced format this year will see four teams compete across two Saturdays for the cup and plate. Semi finals will take place out the Bann Road on Saturday 4th July, with the finals taking place on 18th July.

🏆🏆🏆 𝟮𝟱/𝟮𝟲 𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗢𝗥 𝗔𝗪𝗔𝗥𝗗𝗦 𝗡𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧 🏆🏆🏆

Our senior awards night took place last night in MAGINNS to bring down the curtain on the 25/26 campaign.

On the field it was a case of what if for our first team who just missed out on promotion from 1C despite accumulating 58 points, a tally which would have achieved promotion nearly any other season.

Our seconds (Forest) had a successful campaign winning the Bobby Dalzell and consolidated their place in the NADAFL Premier.

A highlight for the season was the fact that no fewer than 11 U18s made an appearance for our firsts or seconds this season, a sign of the clear pathway from youth to senior football within the club, and hopefully we see these players continue their journey into senior football next season.

Our juvenile awards took place today bringing to a close the 25/26 campaign on the youth front. Another great year with numbers increasing again and some new teams created in both our boys and girls teams.

Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents for all their effort across the season. Planning for next season will begin in the coming weeks and we’ve big plans ahead for the continued progression of our youth teams. We’ll be on the lookout for more coaches and players to continue to support the growth and development of our youth players, with more detail to follow.

Well done to all the boys and girls who picked up trophies and medals today in recognition of their efforts across the season. Photos below ⬇️

We are seeking a motivated, organised, and passionate individual to take the reins of our Forest Team (reserves) for the upcoming season.

This is a massive role within our club. Last season, our squad consolidated their place in the NADAFL Premier Division and lifted the showpiece Bobby Dalzell Cup 🏆 on Boxing Day.

We have a highly talented squad blended with experience and exciting young prospects coming through from under 18, and we want the right person to help them kick on to the next level and continue that development to prepare the younger crop for senior football.
