The Féile programme remains one of the GAA’s most important underage development initiatives, providing a nationwide platform for U15 players, coaches and clubs each year. This year’s Féile na nGael was hosted across Laois and Carlow, with regional competitions held at venues throughout the country. The scale of the festival underlined its growing importance to the association. More than 110 hurling teams took part, involving approximately 2,640 players and 440 coaches. In camogie, over 100 teams and 2,400 players participated, supported by around 400 coaches, while Sunday’s Rounders Féile featured 16 teams and 240 players.

Down GAA Treasurer Diarmuid Cahill continues to play a key role in the event in his capacity as National Féile Chairperson.

Down clubs turned in another impressive showing with outstanding participation across hurling and camogie at both national and regional level. The highlight of the weekend was Kilcoo’s triumph in the Division 3 National Camogie competition, while Liatroim, Bredagh, Portaferry, Darragh Cross, Kilclief and Ballela all added to the county’s strong overall contribution. 🔴⚫️
