With the mens Open Age Sundays currently full we are looking to getba Development Squad up and running (16-18)

Many coming from youth football into adult football find it difficult adjusting and often loose interest,

We are wanting to bridge that gap with our new Development squad.

We are looking for Volunteers to help get this off the ground,

Something New From Castleside Club F.C.

Currently anyone under 18 but over 16 can play in Open Age Adult football, Many 16 to 18 year old struggle going from youth to Adult football.

CCFC Development is designed to bridge that gap and help them transition into Open Age Football.

This is something Durham FA are currently looking into, we want to get a head start and start building that now,

We are looking for Volunteers to help bring this to life and help grow the Castleside Club F.C. family.

This is something we have been looking to do to help offer more from CCFC, if anyone is wanting to get involved please feel free to message us.

As we near 2 years since Castleside Club F.C. started and a few days away from the Ladies first league match we take a look at how far we have came,

With the Mens team picking up form and the Ladies team starting their first ever season, alot of hard work has gone into both,

With Jason Bell and Liam Fulton running the mens side and picking up some good results

Mick Wilson and Danielle Wilson putting in the graft over on the Ladies side.

Many more years to come and hopefully we will see a fair bit more come out of Castleside Club F.C.

For now we look forward to seeing both the Men and Ladies sides continue the hard work.

Next Match

Due to our bye in the Cup we faced a free weekend but thanks to the league, they have brought our away fixture with Tantobie FC forward,

After a decent start and a very good result in our last match, the lads are keen to keep going and push for another 3 points,

With Tantobie looking to turn things around its bound to be a good match, as ever feel free to come along and support the lads on what could be the last sunny day before the weather changes,

4 games in and were sitting 4th, we have a free sunday for now, followed by 2 cup games, more points to come but we'll have to wait for them.

Result: Castleside Club F.C. 5 - 2 High Spen FC

​A game of two halves—quite literally!

​We started off slow, and by slow, we mean High Spen had the better of the first half. We struggled to string a sentence together, never mind a few passes, and to their credit, High Spen took full advantage to claim a 1-0 lead within the first 15 minutes.

​We tried to get going but just couldn't find our rhythm. A quick formation change at the 30-minute mark finally brought things together. A lovely ball from Dan Robinson found Chris Green, who made no mistake and hit the back of the net to level the score.

Tommy High had a wonderful chance from six yards out shortly after, only to be denied by an unreal save from the High Spen stopper.

​Half-Time: 1-1

​In the second half, we were a totally different team, moving the ball well and creating plenty of chances.

At the other end, Nick Dow pulled off some fabulous saves in goal, keeping us firmly in the game.

​Manager Jason Bell introduced Jake Fife from the bench, and he made an instant impact. Taking the ball to the byline, Fife put in a dangerous cross to feed Chris Green for his second of the day, making it 2-1 and showing exactly why the gaffer should be starting him.

Louis Innes getting in on the action and opening his account to take the score to 3-1 after a long throw from Jordan Gill.

​With a bit of breathing space, the manager made a few more changes, bringing on Kalib Skews and Jordan Gill. Both made an immediate impact, with Kalib on a mission and playing like a man possessed.

​High Spen kept coming, though, and managed to pull one back to make it 3-2. This made the prospect of any further substitutions extremely difficult with only a one-goal cushion.

​As the game neared its end, Yosif Bouchaab did exactly what he was told: he followed up on a loose ball in the box and put it away for his first goal for Castleside, making it 4-2. Massive shoutout to the roly-poly he chose for his celebration—top man and thoroughly deserved!

​Jake Fife then sealed the deal with what can only be described as a wonder strike. He caught the ball perfectly with his left foot, sending it over the top of the High Spen keeper to secure all three points and make it 5-2.
