Saturday 28th March 2026 was the SCBA fourth and final meeting of the season which was generously sponsored by Tom Jardine of Jardine Utilities Ltd held in the town hall Castle Douglas.
Thanks to Davie McMath and his team of helpers who laid the boards and put them away at the end of the night. Mandy Watson for tending bar , Rachael Simpson for selling the raffle tickets and to all who donated prizes bought tickets and made the journey to play.

Here is a list of the prize winners and some photos of the winners at the conclusion of the final.

1st and custodians of the Royal Burgh of Dumfries cup were David Orchiston and daughter Rachael Simpson of Tarbolton also taking £250

2nd and winning the SCBA 1925 Third cup and £200 were Derek Murray and Lesley Simpson of Cappercleugh

Losing semi finalists received £125 were Gina Laurie and Jan Oliver of Kirkton also Brian McDonald and Lee Beauly of the Lochside Tavern

Quarter finalists were Steven Richardson and David Broatch of Kirkton , Wullie Mair and Ryan Simpson of Cairn Valley , Jim Little and George Cloy of Wamphray and Jock Fisher and Bryan Swales of Castle Douglas taking home £75

The player of the year for the 2025/26 season was shared by David Orchiston and Rachael Simpson who took home the McKenzie cup and £100

As the season approaches the end the SCBA would like to thank everyone for their support this past season and hope see you all again next season.
