Thruxton Round 6 ✅

FP1-Went out on my own to try learn the track as quick as possible ending up P7
FP2-Caught up to a pack mid session which disrupted my run of good laps but I felt conditions meant I could go any quicker after lap 4 but still ended P4
Qualifying-Felt really good straight away, felt like I had the pace and lap by lap pushed myself up the timings to finish P5
Race 1-The start was good pulling away with the front pack but battling with another rider meant we lost the tow and unfortunately fell back into the second group and after contact on the last corner I went from P7 to P12
Race 2-Didn’t get the best of starts but as things settled I started going up the order getting to P7 and trying to get to the front group but once again from battling I just couldn’t get there, I ended up P11 after being boxed in into the last corner and just missing contact again on the final lap meant I had to avoid someone else and caused me to lose some positions.

Silverstone GP ✅

FP1 Was a tricky session for me as I didn’t have my steering damper on so felt really uncomfortable on the bike.
FP2, I felt way better on the bike straight out and so I was able to be higher up in the time sheets finishing P6.
Qualifying, once again felt like I could fight for the top, was on my own getting into it and then on my last few laps caught a group, so dropped back and pushed for my final lap. That lap ended up putting me in pole!!! And setting the fastest lap ever of 2.18.4 😮‍💨
Race 1, felt good at the start, but started to slowly drop to the back of the group as it was pretty hectic out there 😅
Race 2, started P7 and worked my way up to the very front of the group but once again just got pushed back and wasn’t able to get back into the podium places.
Overall a mixed weekend but lots of positives to take.

Race 1-P9 1.1 seconds to P1
Race 2-P10 1.2 seconds to P1

FP1 was a surprise for me as I ended up P5 after managing to learn the track in 8 laps.
FP2 was the time to try and push to make sure everything was good for qualifying earlier the next morning, I finished the session P2 after a last minute lap with slipstream to climb all the way up the timings.
In qualifying I was on my own the whole session, as the time ticked off I was getting quicker and quicker and eventually putting myself in P4 for race 1.
Race 1, I didn’t have the best of starts and the by the second lap I was in P7, it was a boring race until the last 3 laps where I got comfortable and started getting involved in the pack, finishing P5 with the third fastest lap to put me on the front row for race 2.
Race 2, I got a better start getting into P2 and staying below fifth battling hard while still feeling comfortable with the bike after a setup change in warm up. I took the lead again on lap 8 and felt like I could pull away, but on lap 9… disaster happened. I crashed at Stirlings but took all the positives after being perfectly fine. My best race of the year so far!

Snetterton Round 3 ✅

FP1 went better than expected getting to grips with the track quite well, even after a tip off at Agostinis.
FP2 Went well for me as I managed to improve my time by 1.7 seconds.
Qualifying wasn’t what I planned for putting myself P11 on the grid after not being able to get in a groove.
Race 1 was a pretty boring race finishing P11 after just being off the back of the group.
Race 2 didn’t start how I wanted to with getting involved in a battle meaning I wasted 4 laps getting to the front of the pack, after that I stormed away managing to catch up and get passed P6 and P7. Unfortunately, as I was just starting to get on the back of P5 I had a spill at Wilson corner (Turn 2), everything is okay but just a bit gutted after riding my best race so far and showing that I have the same pace as the front boys. We were the 5th quickest over the weekend with a 2.01.3 and beating last years lap record, not bad for a rookie who has never set a lap around this track before. The pace was hot 🔥

Another massive thankyou to RST for supplying me with another 2 suits, both now being an airbag suit. And also for 2 new custom sets of gloves to look even more trick this season!

Donington Park race report 📣📣

Overall very strong weekend for me starting the FP’s in P6 on combined times even after a little crash at Craner curve and a few hours later it was qualifying, for the first 5 minutes it was drizzling but once it stopped, I got myself into a groove and put it on P6 for race 1. Race 1 ended up being wet and was perfect for me. Got away with the front boys and ended an exciting race in P5. Race 2 was dry and glorious weather, but as I came to the grid after my sighting laps something in the clutch felt different, on the warm up lap gears were hard to change and my bike wouldn’t go into neutral. The first few laps were a real struggle but got my head around it after 6 laps and came from 2 seconds back to P7 and by the end of the race came across the line infront after a points salvage race. My best weekend yet and even more pumped for Snetterton in a months time!!
