Good afternoon all, hope everyone is keeping safe and well. After last nights announcement by the government it’s exciting to see that we will be able to come back to Rugby at the end of March. The RFU today have confirmed this, however they have said that they will be working over the coming weeks to put a plan together on how this can happen, we will update everyone as we know more and the committees will be working behind the scenes once we have the information so we can get everyone back on the rugby pitch so keep your eyes peeled over the coming weeks for updates.

This week marks the 32nd anniversary of Castle Doningtons first ever game as a rugby club! The club was lead onto the field by Lee Taylor in a victory over West Bridgford.

A message from our Chair.

Hi all,

As you are aware, all of the counties around the club are now in Tier 4.

The RFU has stated that for clubs within Tier 4, all adult training and matches must cease for the duration while in this tier.

As a result, We are ceasing all rugby activity for the club until such time that the Government (and RFU) allows deems the current COVID situation to be safe enough to resume rugby activities.

I understand that this will come as a disappointment to some of you. We will, of course, review this and communicate with you all as soon as possible when we are able to restart training.

Until that time, please keep on top of your own fitness and stay safe.

It is with a heavy heart that due to the current circumstances we have decided to postpone all rugby activity for at least the next two weeks for all of our teams this is including the Senior, Mini's and Junior squads.

This decision has come due to the geographical location of our club, bordering three counties all of which are at different tiers of the Governments Covid-19 alert system.

We will monitor the situation and update you all if anything changes however we are as hopeful of a return to training as of the 29th October.

FINALLY Rugby is back!!

Today some of our players will return from several months away from the sport.

Hopefully we will see some new face too, as we have been blown away by the emails and Facebook messages of interest from so many people wanting their child to give our sport a try.

We're Back

Rugby returns to Castle Donington this coming Sunday, 09:00-10:00 at the Spital.

We pride ourselves on offering developmental rugby which is fun, safe and run by England Rugby qualified coaches and we are currently looking for new players.
