Loved every second learning this new track the last two days, fantastic circuit and good company👊 Huge thankyou to Derek for making it all possible and for making sure the bike is working faultless 💯 And dad for letting me go without him🙈🤣

Party in the park☔️

Mixed bag this weekend! Only completed 3/4 of FP1 before the rain fell and we called it a day!

It was strange heading into qualifying with such little bike time beforehand but i put it P9 in a damp-ish session which i thought was fairly respectable.

Race 1- P8

Hard race. Dropped two places on the start but got stuck in and made them back up by the end of lap one. Stayed where i was until a couple of fallers and a safety car left me in P7 with 3 laps to go. Tried my best to bring it home but got pipped at the last sector and ended up 8th.
Good result but i was pretty disappointed to just be dangling off the front boys again and not able to stick with them.

Race 2 - Started P10 Finished P11

This one felt a bit better from my perspective. I felt like i rode better and was more in control of what was going on around me. Sat P10 and had a move lined up for 9th and was ready to pounce on the last lap. Unfortunately the same move got pulled on me as race one but a lap early. Cost me my chance at P9 and i didnt have enough to make the gap back up i lost when i was passed. Frustrating end but thats the way it goes sometimes.

We have a month now before Donington park to find some speed and really get stuck into the front pack. Thanks team for the hard work and sticking by me👊

QP- P12
I set some really fast laps in qualifying but it was only enough for 12th. That being said i was pretty happy as im never great at one lap and this track rewards being able to bite the screen a lot.

Race - P8

Best result this year! Got stuck in at the start and picked off a couple of riders and i was at the back of the lead group for a long time. Unfortunately the rider i was behind went down into the complex and i lost a bit of time as i made a mistake of my own. I tried to hold the gap steady to the group and was keeping them in my sights but with 4 ish laps to go the tyre was cooked and i started to manage the big gap i had from behind to hold P8.

That being said, big big improvements from where we have been so far this season and to do it at a track i struggled at a bit last season was a really nice feeling. We are turning the ship around finally 📈

Oulton Park update.

Unfortunately our run of bad luck continues. Our engine blew this morning on the stand whilst warming it up for FP1 today. Very frustrating as this was a brand new engine when we put it in for brands hatch🤷‍♂️ My trademark luck strikes again.

Id like to apologise to all my sponsors and and tom & sue who made the trip all the way to oulton just for me to not even make it onto the bike.🤦‍♂️

Atleast im going home healthy.

Its Oulton Park race week👊

Race 1 - P13

Small progress in race one. Really struggled for feeling at the start of the race and shortly after the safety car. Managed to find some pace late race and started making moves but the red flag came out and ended my charge prematurely.

Race 2 - P10
Made some small changes for the race and managed to find some early race feel but compromised my ability to overtake and got stuck where i was. Better result but it was largely down to some of the front runners crashing. I feel like im riding well again but i have some work to do for oulton to close the gap to the front boys👊

Knockhill Rd3

This one felt like the start of the season for me after the injuries and issues we had at the start of the year.

Steady friday in the wet building and learning with the honda in the wet for the first time😁

Saturday:

Q1-P4
Q2-P12

Race 1: Starting P12 i made a bad start and dropped back to p15 (ish) and managed to work my way back into a decent position over the 24 lap race. I crossed the line in P11 and 0.01 away from P10 with a photo finish at the line.

Sunday Race 2:
Starting P13 i had a great start. Quickly working my way up to P10 in the opening laps and in the battle for P5. After a few laps P5 and P6 started to ride away from the group and i wanted to make my way through the pack as i felt my pace was better than the riders i was with, and i was sat pretty comfortably. Once i started to push on more i started to have some front end issues and managed to push the front tyre pressure too high in the added heat today. I had a few big moments and had to manage the race from there and ended finishing a comfortable P11.

Id be lying if i said i was happy with the results this weekend. We dont try this hard to come 11th😂 That being said im very happy with the progress and how close we are to the group ahead is encouraging.

Its going about as badly as it can at the minute. Not much to say. 🤯

365 days since the world lost OJ and it still hurts like it did on day one. Its such an unexpected thing to lose one of your best mates at a young age and nothing can prepare you for it. So many ups and downs in the last year and so many what ifs, but life always has a way of making you appreciate what you have and being grateful for what you had. Theres nothing like losing your best mate to put life into perspective🥹

Owen was really one of a kind and he was one of them larger than life people that you cant ever imagine losing. We made some unforgettable memories, good and bad but im glad we made the most of every moment. How i wish that day turned out differently and we could laugh about it together like it was any other crash.

A year on and not a day i dont miss you mate, Big love and ill see you when the time is right❤️
