A fantastic couple of finals in 2 club competitions this weekend.
Paul Ferguson & Paul Slocombe defeated Richard Clarke & Richard Taylor 17-16 on the last end in the EBA pairs, then Richard Clarke & Ivor Willgress defeated Paul Ferguson & Laurie Fisher 19-18 on the extra end in the Aussie pairs.
Both games played in excellent spirit and such a shame someone had to lose.

What a wonderful afternoon at the club yesterday, our annual competition in memory of Chris Smith, founder and fellow member.
24 players took part in the game, afterwards we had over 40 people attending the bbq!
Thanks to everyone who made food, helped out with the setting up and to those who came to join us in a fantastic day.
Well done Neil on the bbq.
Kevin for making the green look amazing.
Les for supplying the Gazebos.
Both Janet’s for their hard work.
Libby too and Michael.
Paul behind the bar all day (and staying relatively sober!)
Plus of course we mustn’t forget Gus for everything he does.
If I have forgotten anyone I apologise in advance.

Well our good run in the Fermoy Cup came to an end last night with a defeat in the semifinal against the top club in the county, Norfolk Bowling Club A, we drew 16-16 at home after leading most of the way but sadly our away block came second in their game.
Along the way we have defeated Hunstanton A, Shouldham A and St Lawrence so we have done well.
Thanks to my team, Kevin, Paul Hunter, Richard, Neil, Robin, Michael, Les & Matty, we gave it our best shot and almost made it!

Thank you to all the players who have turned out for us on a weekly basis, we have maintained our position in Division One West.
Thank you also to all the people who have made sandwiches, sausage rolls, quiches etc, it’s very much appreciated.
Also to our greenkeeping crew for making it one of the finest surfaces in the county 👍

We welcomed our friends from Bintree bowls club for the second leg of the Grange Cup semifinal on Saturday.
Unfortunately they beat us on aggregate but the competition was friendly and spirited.
Nice to share drinks and biscuits after the game.
We look forward to welcoming them back in the near future.
