JUNE & JULY FOCUS
STRENGTH:

What to expect:
* More variety week to week
* Strength work that flows with the workout
* Different lifts, rep schemes, and loading
* Better class flow and athlete experience
* Still focused on getting stronger
You’ll still squat, pull, and press—but with a more varied, engaging approach that reflects Mayhem’s training style.
We’ll kick things off with:
* 3RM Back Squat
* 3RM Deadlift
These benchmarks will be retested in the future.

GYMNASTICS:
Same philosophy: more variety, better flow, and less rigid progression.
Rather than focusing on one or two movements for weeks at a time, athletes can expect a weekly gymnastics skill piece chosen to best support the overall training stimulus.

Our focus:
* Strict pull-up and dip strength
* Body control and positional awareness
* Foundational gymnastics strength
* Advanced skill work mixed in throughout the year
Everything will remain scalable for all ability levels and helping athletes become stronger, more capable movers.

CFH SUMMER GAMES 2026

Get ready for an afternoon of fun, fitness, and friendly competition!

Teams will be drawn at random to keep things fair, and everyone will compete in the same division. Whether you’re aiming for a personal best or just want to be part of the action, this event is all about challenging yourself, pushing your limits and supporting your teammates.

🏋️ 3 workouts
⏱️ Approximately 90 minutes per team
🤝 Mixed teams drawn from a hat
🎉 Fun, inclusive, and suitable for all members

We’ve been including Murph prep in our programming so your body should be more conditioned to the volume!…

So what actually is Murph…?
Each year (May 25th), CrossFit gyms around the world take part in a yearly tradition of Murph… Why…?

Why You Should Do Murph?
* Pay Tribute: Originally named “Body Armor,” it honors Lt. Michael Murphy, who was killed in action in Afghanistan in 2005. It is a tangible way to remember and honor those who have sacrificed for their country.

* Mental Toughness: The sheer volume of movements will force you to dig deep and push through psychological barriers. A mental test as much as a physical one.

* Highly Scalable: You do not need to be an elite athlete or wear a 20lb vest to do it. You can partition the reps (e.g., into rounds of 5-10-15) and substitute movements (like ring rows instead of pull-ups) to match your exact fitness level.

* Community Connection: Surrounds you with people who are suffering and succeeding right alongside you, creating a powerful shared experience.

During May (Thursdays @0430 we’ll be working on: handstand walking/progressions, toes to bars and butterfly pull ups, which can be upscaled to chest to bars and muscle ups. If you have these skills they can be worked on by increasing hardness and working them under fatigue.

Primarily we’ll be working strength and skill so you’ll be getting stronger and learning the skills in these classes not under fatigue. During CrossFit and workouts these can often get rushed so having an hour dedicated to a few skills can be really beneficial!

Starting tomorrow…Lots of PB’s after the last strength phase… now we’ll be moving back to a technical phase and ironing ...

Lots of PB’s after the last strength phase… now we’ll be moving back to a technical phase and ironing out any technical flaws that can make or break a lift!

Remember the key point in weightlifting is consistency! So ensure you come every week or even better come to both classes to get the best out of your training and make more progress.

A mini comp, free for our members! All abilities can take part.

will be serving up his wonderful new coffee so please be sure to grab one! ☕️ 🛻

Each team will be allocated their 30 minute time slot before the day. 2 teams will work simultaneously, new another 2 teams starting every 10 minutes.

Warm up 15:00 prior to your heat time.

Prize for top team.
