We recently held our annual club dinner and awards night- thanks to everyone who came along and made it a success!

The Ulster Cyclocross Championships were held on Sunday at Windmill Park, Dungannon, hosted by Island Wheelers Cycling Club.

Congratulations to Josh McClune who stormed to victory in the U16 category in very wet and muddy conditions despite a really untimely puncture! 🥇

This comes after Josh also won the Ulster U16 Cyclocross League, rounding off a very successful CX season for him! 🏆

Well done Josh, great riding!! 👏👏

Team Madigan on the top step again!

Today was Round 3 of the Ulster CX League, hosted by Foyle CC - another well ran cyclocross event with healthy entry numbers!

Following on from his Round two win in Armagh a couple of weeks ago, our own Josh McClune rode brilliantly to win in the U16 category! 🏆

What a great way to round off a massive half term training week! 💪

Huge congratulations to Team Madigan member and Belfast High School pupil Josh McClune, who has been selected for the British Cycling National School of Racing (NSR).

The NSR is a talent development programme by British Cycling to identify and develop young riders. Josh has worked extremely hard to get selected for this prestigious programme and we wish him the best of luck.

Sadly, we share the news that Team Madigan President Ronnie McKeegan passed away yesterday aged 82.

Ronnie was at the heart of this club for 37 years and one of the most passionate cyclists you could ever meet.

Through the Madigan Pro Bike Shop, and his tireless volunteering on the club and race scene, Ronnie has left a permanent impression on the local cycling community, and he will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts are with his family and friends.

Rest in peace, Ronnie 🤍

Congrats to Elliott McKeegan for making the podium at the Ulster Champs Road Race (Junior) at the weekend! 🥉 This comes a few weeks after his superb 2nd place 🥈 at the Ulster Champs 10TT (Junior).

Congrats also to Chris Wheeler for his recent age group podium spot at the Ulster Champs 10TT 🥉
