⚫️🟠 Second Team Match Report🟠⚫️

This week the 2nd team travelled to portaferry..got of the mark early with a smashing free kick from Jack rankin..home team equalised and then took the lead and made it 3-1 in time before the 2nd half..we came out with a want to win and pressed them to get 1 back match ended 3-2. Daniel Blair have a good penalty save and chances we had should have won the game but we move on and onto the next..plenty of positives.

⚫️🟠 1st Team Match Report🟠⚫️

Barn welcomed Kelvin OB to Haslett this week, with the visitors being one of the favourites for promotion and ourselves considered relegation contenders. With that said Kelvin OB were in for a shock from the first minute as Barn were there to fight and prove where they belong. A tightly fought first half with a dubious goal conceded and a great response from the lads and Callum McCoy finishing off a well worked move.

Second half started like the first with Barn chasing lost causes and giving Kelvin no time on the ball kelvins quality shone through with a great finish for them overall and thus closing a game of fine margins off and ultimately a disappointing day for a new Barn side equipped to compete and challenge.

FIRST LEAGUE GAME OF THE SEASON🟠⚫️

📍 Saturday 5th of September, 2PM KO

This week the team take on Kelvin old boys FC, last seasons runners up and a good side that will bring a challenge for the team.

As always all support is welcome and no doubt it will be a great day at Haslett Park as always⚽️

On a much less positive note, this week the team say goodbye to goalkeeper Charlie Smyth as he takes on a new opportunity at H&W Welders. Charlie will be missed by everyone within the team and the management however, we wish him all the best with his new team 🧡
